About This Mod
A few days ago, KimberJ suggested that I make a mod that would make cigarettes suitable for use in the game. After some discussion, I liked the idea, and here it is. This mod does not make the cigarettes themselves suitable for use, as in this case you will not be able to dispose of them. Instead, the mod makes a suitable lighter, if you have cigarettes in inventory, then one of them will be removed, and the player character will play the smoking animation. Lighters can be manufactured in a chemical laboratory in the UTILITY category and will appear in your inventory in the AID category.
Features
Packages and boxes. If you do not have cigarettes, but have a pack or box, it will be broken into cigarettes (packs). One pack is broken into 11 separate cigarettes, and one box into 3 packs and 11 cigarettes.
Automatically toggles the view. The mod will automatically switch you to 3rd person view for the animation to work, and if you were in 1st person view, it will switch you back when the animation is over. The animation is vanilla and lasts 60 seconds.
Two types of lighters. There are two lighters that you can make. One is ordinary. And one is gold, for the loot.
Effects. Smoking gives you +1 charisma for 60 seconds, which you can spend on dialogs. And +5% aiming resistance for one hour. Also, if your health is below 20%, it will slowly recover, but not above 20%. This percentage is chosen because below this value you hear a heartbeat, so smoking seems to calm you down. Also, if you become addicted to cigarettes, smoking will not return you a penalty for endurance.
Dependence. There is a 10% smoking habit. The penalty for addiction is -1 charisma and -1 stamina.
Saving the game. In survival mode, smoking a cigarette will save your game.
Installation
Make sure you have canceled the archive.
Use NMM for unattended installation or drag files from the archive into the DATA game directory.
Uninstall
To remove the mod correctly, you must open the console with '~' and type
cqf UC_SmokingController Deinitialize
The console is not case sensitive. After closing the console, wait a few seconds and you will see a notification in the upper left corner of the screen. Save your game and exit. You can now delete the mod-related files.
