About This Mod

Adjusts the display of items in the world so as not to troll players with very bad items that are displayed as rare or legendary. This mode adjusts the rarity settings of various items and controls their size and color when they appear in the world. The goal is to make collecting items less tedious by preventing literal trash items like Globewort and Furnace Visage from appearing as rare or legendary. This change is intended to be used in conjunction with randomizers of objects and enemies, but you can use it yourself if you really want. This change was made to accommodate the requirements of randomizers to ensure that all items needed to discover meaningful progress would be at least rare (most of them were already rare, except for the Sewer Gaol key) and not missed. In addition, the rarity of items that were unsuitable for defeating randomizers was reduced. Weapons and armor have not been changed as we try to preserve the randomizers randomizers randomization and complexity. For example, if you decide that key items are Legendary and the rest are not, then randomizers will be a little easier to defeat. The reason this mod exists is because I have been trolled many times by Legendary Globes. For reference, the four degrees of rarity of an item are listed in ascending order of rarity: standard, common, rare, and legendary. Various levels of rarity are displayed in the game as follows: In addition, in some places, you can see that instead of the rarity of an item, you can set its rarity. We don't know where and if this rarity is used in the game, but in rare cases it may not display as expected. Likewise, we did not consider gestures. This is because, although gestures are included in the list of items, they cannot be picked up in the same way as items (although there are several that can be picked up using interactive objects disguised as items). Quick Change Overview For a complete list of changes, see the edits.tsv file as part of the mod. Items in the following categories now have the following default rarity: Craft Materials Notes and Letters (except those that are actually key items) Ashes of the Soul Glove Pots Bells Beds for Multiplayer Pate Items In addition, the rarity of the following important items has also been set by default. Memory Chrysalis Black Knife Beast Eye Sign Heavenly Dew Stirring Finger Igona Tonic of Forgetting Iryna's Letter of Favor The Blood Lords (White Version) The following legendary items have been changed to rare: Regal Omen Bairn Blessing of Marika Most consumables and oils that were previously common have been installed on Default for uniformity. installed on Default to preserve their uniformity. However, nothing really useful was changed: Enchant Branch was upgraded to Rare. This is due to the fact that it drops only two drops, and it is very useful, especially when using randomizers. The following key items have been upgraded to the Rare level: Rusty Key Rya's Necklace Sewer-Gaol Key Sewing Needle How to install To use it in a randomizer, unzip the folder with the mod to the right place, then in the randomizer just select the file regulation.bin in the option "Combine another mod" of the randomizer. When using the Fog Gate randomizer, set three modes so that they refer to each other: Randomiser Item Quality Tuner <- Item and Enemy Randomiser <- Fog Gate Randomiser Modes Compatibility This mod edits game settings that appear in the regulation.bin file, so it will not work with other mods that have the regulation.bin file unless you have an application that takes the regulation.bin file and creates a new one, such as Randomizer. If you want to merge this mod with another mod in the regulation.bin file, you can use Smithbox to quickly create a merged mod: Open the folder with this mod in Smithbox, log in to ParamEditor and select 'Common >. Data > Export CSV > modified rows > Export to file.> Then you can open another mod that you want to merge into Smithbox, select the same options and import the CSV using the corresponding import. After the CSV is imported, save the modified settings to the File menu, and the merged mod is created.
