About This Mod

This mod adds a new basic ability to all Gorilla weapons: Gorilla Grip. This ability prevents the weapon's recoil effects when using a firearm, and only works if you have an active version of Gorilla Arms. Note: This ability also works with Cyberware-EX and Cyberarm Cycle. This effect is updated in real time, so just equip any version of Gorilla Arms to see its effects immediately, and take it off to make the effects disappear.

It seemed to me that a weapon capable of opening steel doors, etc., should be able to hold a weapon without problems, and this fashion appeared. I know there's a mod that can completely remove swinging based on the menu option, but I didn't want everything to be so black and white. It also requires a reboot to work. It seemed to me that this was a logical and smoother way to remove the swing and at the same time enhance the appeal of the Gorilla Arms. Of course, if I were you, I wouldn't use that mod together.

If you think this is the improvement you need, try it. Enjoy yourself. Note: There are currently no translations other than English. Perhaps at some point I will post the source code for those who want to make an effort.

Note: Versions 1.1.0 and above also have a recoil prevention feature, but this is limited to recoil only. Other aspects of impact remain relevant. I don't change the scatter statistics, because I think it should be more dependent on the choice of firearms. If these figures were to remain the same, the choice of firearms would remain relevant. Aiming naturally reduces the variation, and without giving back you will have little or no variation in aiming anyway. Scatter when shooting with the thighs and/or the thighs seems realistic, so I'll leave it.

Note: Version 1.2.0 and above adds additional effects/bonuses for melee weapons and missile weapons. These effects include maximum armor penetration (automatically becoming 100%) for all melee weapons, the ability to throw weapons (knives) through certain targets and/or materials (not hard objects like walls) with increased effective range depending on weapon level/quality. How effective range works: When the attack distance exceeds the effective range, the damage from the attack begins to decrease depending on the difference. Increasing effective range effectively reduces damage, allowing you to deal more damage from longer distances. These changes essentially make Gorilla Arms the best option for weapons specialists.

Note: In version 1.3.0 and above, the effects/bonuses apply only to active gorilla weapons. In the past, effects/bonuses were in effect as long as the gorilla weapon was installed, but I think it's too OT, so I made this version the new default option. For those who prefer the OPS features of version 1.2.0, do not hesitate to continue using it, but know that all future updates will be based on the changes of version 1.3.0.

Note: Versions 1.3.1+ now use the new "UsePassiveAbilities" option located in the file "r6/scripts/GorillaGrip/modules/GorillaGripModule.reds". Change the value from false to true to make effects active as long as Gorilla Hands are equipped (Pre-1.3.0), not just when they are active. Note: When I release the update, you will have to change this value again.
