About This Mod
[I removed the warning that this mod is BETA. The error with the stuck in the combat mode is basically fixed. I have tested the resurrections enough times to make sure there are no side effects to report at this time].

Background
The relic resurrects V several times in history, why not more often?
When Jackie found the relic, the only thought he had in his mind was survival. He prayed to Santa Muerte when he ran away with V. The relic caught the intensity of his thoughts and found what was missing in Araska's attempt at immortality.
Jackie's faith in Santa Muerta was the missing element in Relic's program.
When the Relic revived Wee, it was more than just nanites that connected the structure to Wee's psyche. It was Jackie V's gift. Immortality.
It is said that Santa Muerte's help comes at a high cost.
That price is the choice between V and Johnny in the fight for survival,
How does it work?
Maud uses the Second Heart effect with new rules.
You do not have to install the Second Heart Cyber program to use fashion (read below).
I believe receiving resurrections should be the default basic mechanics, since the Relic originally saved V's life.
Now, the Relic gives Wee a limited number of resurrections for the entire game.
The maximum number of resurrections depends on the player's level, the level of cyber programs, the percentage of the heirloom's progress, and receives a bonus from some of the quest facts related to Jackie (most notably the actions at Jackie's funeral and reading of Misty's tarot).
It is obvious that resurrections will only work after the Heist is completed.
The following options can be configured in the fashion settings
Main switch to pause the effect if necessary
Slider to increase or decrease the default number of resurrections
check box for endless resurrections.
Installing Second Heart also unlocks endless resurrections
Additional warning that "Relic Protocol activated" with quantity and maximum
Blackouts
Blackouts occur when a randomly selected skip time exceeds 1/4 of the maximum skip time set in the menu.
Teleports on disconnect
It is likely that after the shutdown V will wake up somewhere else.
In this case, the pass time is increased from 6 to 12 hours to take into account the transportation time.
Several teleportation options are supported:
- The main hospital of the Night City (front and back entrance).
- Nearby Ripper dock depending on the area in which you are at the time of death.
- Workarounds are steep or creepy, which are also chosen based on the area of death. Some places are friendly... some are not. I added a few surprises.
Left to die and robbed
- Version 2024-04-13 adds an additional Hardcore mode, where V will be robbed after teleportation to an unsafe location.
- NOTE: Use this mode wisely. After teleporting to an unsafe location, Wee will wake up, losing most of the items in the inventory. There's protection for quest-related items and items marked as not being removed, but that's it. There is no way to recover lost items, including icons or carefully crafted items.
The night city is a harsh place. You can expect the corpse to be scraped to the skin very quickly.
Compatibility
This mod extends the Second Heart patch capabilities. I have contacted the author to get permission to include his fixes fully. I hope I can add them to the fashion.
Both modes edit the same part of the code, so they are incompatible.
If you only need a fix for vanilla Second Heart, use Second Heart fix.
If you need a system to avoid stupid deaths and keep getting up and fighting, use Santa Muerte.
Protections
The mod comes with protection from interference in critical quests.
Resurrection is disabled (you just die) when:
- V drives the vehicle, floats or is in any situation where the teleport is normally off (e.g. in the middle of the scene).
- V drops from long distance (there is a menu option to disable this check).
- V impersonates Johnny (there is a menu option to disable this check).
Teleports are disabled on resurrection when:
- V drives the vehicle, floats or is in any situation where the teleport is normally off (e.g. in the middle of the scene).
- V critical quests take place in Dogtown (entry, SoMi Stadium and Cynosure bunker).

Note: If you start a new game in "Phantom Freedom" mode (starting just behind the church in Pacific), you will only be able to teleport on resurrection after contacting Reed by phone.
Future plans
Add more interesting teleportation spots
Add the ability to disable consciousness, effects "left to die" / robbed with missing some items
Add-on Permadeath - I spent a lot of time trying to make it work, but I'm stuck. Open for suggestions on how to remove save files silently (without UI involvement), compatible with Redscript method.
