About This Mod

What does this mod do?

Features

Adjusts movement speed: squat, squat sprint, walking, running, and sprint.

Provides a mapping menu for players with a keyboard/controller to create a hot key that will toggle the walking state.

There is an additional save system that will not allow the game to turn off the walking state.

It is possible to automatically disable/enable the walking state at the entrance/exit from battle (which cancels the save system).

Bug fixes/Vanilla improvements

Gives the walking state a unique record for reference to the movement data, allowing both squat and walking to have their own unique record.

Prevents the game from slowing the player's movement speed when entering a trigger scene while maintaining the player's movement speed (which will prevent a bug/oversight when the player can move VERY slowly when entering a trigger).

Allows the player to squat in a sprint (provided you have a perk) regardless of whether you have entered the squat from the default or walking state.

About

This mod has developed greatly since its first release and has gone beyond the name of the mod. The mod was originally a few lines that included a walking state when uploaded to the game, but now it is much larger with the help of community.

The main purpose of this fashion is to allow you to adjust the movement speed for different states in which the player (both Johnny and V) can be on the ground: running (which I will call the default state), walking (which I will call the switched state), squat, sprint and squat sprint. When this mode is set for the first time, the default movement speed of the player in the default state is reduced, and the movement speed in the switched state is increased, effectively making the player walk by default.

In addition, the mod has an optional save system that implements and extends the functionality of the No Walk Auto Disable mod. When this system is enabled, the mod will not allow the game to turn off the switched state (the mod implements its own logic to save the switched state after the sprint, and for everything else, the same logic from the NWAD is used).

The mod uses Native Settings to provide a menu where you can change the motion values (remember to reload the save after changing them) and turn the save system on/off. The menu also provides the ability for players with keyboard and controller to create a hotkey to enable/disable state switching (thank you very much Native Settings for the template). I recommend that keyboard users also create a binding through this mod, since the vanilla binding can be blocked in some cases (one of them is Johnny's memories, as far as I can remember).

Installation

To install this mod, unzip the master file and move the `bin` and `r6` folders to the root folder of Cyberpunk.

I recommend setting the mod manually, as Vortex is known (from what I've seen) to cause problems sometimes. I disclaim responsibility, as I have not tested the installation of this mode through Vortex.
