About This Mod

If you, like me, like reviewing old trailers and concept art, you may remember seeing Subcutaneous Armor in action in the 2013 teaser trailer and in the 2018 E3 trailer. I always liked the idea of the Subdermal Armor implant in the Cyberpunk series. By injecting themselves with nanites and implanting armor under the skin, cyberpunk can get a bullet in the face and get out of there only with an irritated look. If you've seen these scenes in trailers and thought you wanted to create a cybernetic Luke Cage in a dark future, then this is the fashion for you.


The subcutaneous armor in Cyberpunk has one serious problem that, to my surprise, has not yet been fixed. Unlike other cyber devices in the game, none of the subcutaneous armor has either a level or stats requirement. At 1st level, with 0 Street Cred and with 3 in each attribute, you can set ALL variations of Subcutaneous Armor from Normal to Legendary. But, unlike all cyber weapons that use V, subcutaneous armor is NEVER EQUAL to the PLAYER'S LEVEL. From 1st to 50th level Legendary subcutaneous armor will always yield 200 pieces of armor. By the time you move to ~10 levels, the 200 armor points this item gives will be so small that you'd better swap it for something else and not use it at all.
