About This Mod

Responsive NPCs

Behavior and reaction changes for more immersive gameplay

πŸ‘€ Common tweets for the crowd

Nudity checks

Most NPCs react when they see a nude V, with few exceptions (e.g. homeless or poor NPCs).

Reaction includes comments and care

The NCPD and the NPC gangs enable an "early detection" mode, keeping a close eye on the naked V, but not causing an escalation if not provoked.

The level of cyber program affects the NPC's response to nudity (e.g., a fully naked V triggers increased crowd anxiety)

Armed presence

Carrying heavy weapons (sniper, rifle, shotgun) in places like Corpo Plaza, City Center, etc., causes early detection by the NCPD and armed NPC (does not escalate into battle unless provoked).

Even if you are armed with any weapon, it slightly increases the detection speed of all armed NPCs.

Scanning armed NPCs in sight slightly raises detection level

Clothing associated with the military increases the overall detection rate slightly

Vehicle reactions

NPCs actively dodge the player's car if they are signaled while driving on the sidewalk (need to drive completely on the sidewalk)

Drunk driving leads to early detection of NCPD (does not trigger combat unless provoked)

NPC vehicles no longer panic-drive small bumps. They can still panic on the bumps, but only when hit at high speed.

Gun vehicles slightly increase the detection speed of all armed NPCs

Automotive NPCs comment and sometimes signal back when they are being signaled

Crystal dome vehicles reduce detection rate

Other changes in NPC response

NPC runs away in fear when you have 4 or more search stars

A re-engagement with NCPD officers on the move or Bargest's men could trigger a fight

Rich and corrupt NPCs look at you with disgust if you wear poor or cheap clothes (face reaction only)

πŸ” Camouflage system

Apparel ownership

NPCs react dynamically depending on whether your clothes belong to a gang or corpo

Wear gang-related clothing to reduce the detection of allies and increase it for rivals. Modified clothing can also be supported - more details here.

NCPD-related clothing increases detection rates for all gangs

Clothing associated with the NCPD also directly causes a battle with Bargest's soldiers in Dogtown.

Accessories are calculated based on equipment including vanilla and modified clothing, and Equipment-Ex slots, if equipped.

The detection multiplier is folded for each slot of clothing (head: 15%, face: 10%, breast exterior: 12.5%, breast interior: 12.5%, legs: 10%), and the overall detection ratio can vary within +/- 60%.

For example, wearing Mox-related clothing means an increased level of detection of Tiger claws. While wearing Tyger Claw clothing means reducing detection levels in other Tyger Claw environments and increasing detection levels by rival gangs (Mox, Maelstrom, or 6th street in Charter Hill).

Gang membership

Driving gang-owned vehicles affects detection levels against rival/allied gangs

Vehicle ownership affects detection by +/- 30%

Crystal Coat Mask

Activation of the Crystal Cloak during an active NCPD chase reduces detection by 75%.

However, if the Crystal Cloak is damaged during combat and disabled, the detection level is increased by 300%.

Activated for vehicles with Crystal Cloak, such as Rayfield cars or supported mods such as ettili this one. This game mechanism is active for wanted levels from 1 to 4 stars. Note that this only adjusts the detection rate - NCPD can still detect and start the fight. Future updates will add penalties for activating/deactivating Crystal Coat in the NCPD's field of view and more dynamism.

πŸ‘Š Quest "Retribution

Gangs can provoke or engage in combat directly, based on your past quest decisions.

This system complements the existing gang retaliation mechanism by making the quest's influence more visible. This affects provocations and escalation with the NPC in Night City, as well as the speed of detection.

The consequences of quests are weighed differently, some having a greater impact than others. This takes into account the results of the main quests, side quests, tasks and some NCPD tasks. Most quests also consider whether you have chosen stealth or a lethal approach.

Gangs also activate the combat mode directly when they collide with them in courier/car contract missions (for example, the gang members on their feet start a fight if you drive past them. No additional chases are generated)

πŸ—£ Reaction to custom clothing

NPCs give dynamic comments on modified clothing with specific tags.

Current presets for reaction include positive comments, irritation, or fear

Work is continuing on custom reaction presets and NPC user dialogs

A guide for fashion designers to support this feature is available here

πŸ‘€ Pursuit system

NPCs become aware if you keep an eye on them.

Civilians can run away if you scare them enough

The pursuit of NCPD officers/Bargest soldiers on foot in Dogtown could provoke them, potentially turning into a fight
