About This Mod

Although Cyberpunk generally does a good job of balancing weapons, the lack of distinction between weapons of the same category and the changes made to the impact of version 2.0 have made the arsenal seem uninteresting and in some cases not at all powerful.


This mod is designed to correct the situation by changing the damage per shot, rate of fire and magazine size for a number of weapons to create more variety between weapon categories and improve some of the unsuccessful options while keeping the overall DPS as close to vanilla values as possible.

Review of changes:


Pistols

Various changes in the rate of fire and size of stores, with an emphasis on making them less bulky and smoother to use. The rate of fire of automatic variants (e.g. Lexington/ Slaught-O-Matic/ Grit) has been significantly increased in exchange for reduced damage per shot.


Revolvers

General damage changes to bring them into line with each other, minor changes to some icons.


SMG

Changes in store size, rate of fire, and damage create more variety between options, with further changes in the balance of some icons (e.g., doubling the rate of fire for Erebus while halving damage per shot). Slightly increased head shot damage to take into account the AR Buff.


Assault rifles

Total increase of DPS to bring them closer to SMG and take into account the change in impact in 2.0. Focus on lower rate of fire, but higher single shot damage than SMG. Changes included damage from Copperhead, Umbra, and Masamune, Ajax/Kyubi magazine capacity, and fire rate.


Droboviki

Effective range increased by 50%. Small buffs for damage from Carnage and Tactician, reduced Crusher/Pozhar magazine size and increased damage from each shot. Total changes in the number of projectiles (i.e. damage spread and Cretan potential) for different shotguns.


LMG

Rebalanced to align them with AR changes. Increased firing rate of all variants, increased the damage from the defender's shot.


Precise rifles

Normalized DPS for low-performance models (e.g., vanilla SOR-22 DPS was only half of most other PR).


Sniper rifles

Minor changes in most variants. The capacity of the Grad store was increased (from 4 to 5), the speed of fire of Necomats was reduced, damage of Borzay, Osprey and Overwatch was adjusted.


Technological weapons

The firing time is reduced (-30%).


Smart weapons

Slight increase of DPS (5-10%) due to reduction of potential damage for overcharging (i.e. reduction of store size). Bullet speed increased by 50%. Skippy gains 25% armor piercing, better aiming range, and lock angles. The number of shots from Shingen increased from 3 to 4.


GUN BARGEST

Normalized changes for all weapon variants. BARGHEST weapons have a 25% increased armor piercing and a 25% increased firing rate, but reduced range, handling and magazine capacity, i.e. a lot of first damage, but low resistance.



Optional:


Melee weapons

Hammer damage increased by 15%, Mantis Blade damage increased by 10% to make them more competitive within their respective weapon types.


NPC Weapons

Applies most changes from the master file to all enemies of the NPC. Note that while their damage remains about the same, improvements similar to those made for AR and LMG will be applied to them.

Installation:


Save to set the game in the middle of the game. Place the contents of the archive in the cyberpunk directory (where the "bin" folder is located) or use vortex mod manager.



Uninstall:


Safely uninstall in the middle of the game. Remove the WTaB folder from cyberpunk2077/r6/tweaks/ or use vortex mod manager.
