About This Mod

This mod prevents combat when you shoot enemies with silencers or throw knives at them. In an unmodified game, all enemies will know where you are (triggered) if you shoot someone out of invisibility but don't kill them with a single shot, such as a silencer weapon. With this fashion, enemies may be wary and look around for you, but you will go unnoticed and continue to chase them out of invisibility.


By default, if you are within 2 meters of them, the attack will trigger the combat state.


For balance purposes, cover protection is removed and your visibility to enemies is increased if you don't kill a target with one shot. This is set in the fashion options menu.





Why?


I know silencers don't make guns noiseless in real life (or I've heard them, but that doesn't matter), but in video game logic they usually do. I think it's more fun and more useful. It's hard to shoot someone with a single shot on "Very Hard." I think it makes silencing weapons very powerful, but I'm also often found by enemies who look for me nearby.


Configuration:


This mod can be adjusted from the "Mods" menu in the "Settings" menu under the "Silent mufflers" section. This can be done at any time, including in the middle of the game.




Basic Functions

Minimum distances are the distance you must stay from the enemy to remain invisible. Reduce these values to remain invisible, even when close to enemies (although they can still turn around and see you, of course). Increase these values so you won't be heard.


Shelter/Visibility Debaff

Adds a short state effect that eliminates the lookout benefits due to cover during any sneak attack.


Detection Chance

Number of hits before auto-detection: NPC will detect you after the specified number of silent hits.

Basic detection chance: Percentage change of what you'll be found on every hit.

Chance of Detection per Strike: The percentage change of what you will be detected for the previous strike. If you set the value to 10%, the first hit will have a 0% chance of being detected, the second hit will have a 10% chance, the third hit will have a 20% chance, and so on. This chance is added to the base chance (which can be 0%).

Seconds to Detect: If the NPC is still awake after the specified number of seconds after your first attack, you will be detected.


Installation:

IMPORTANT: This mod depends on several other mods needed. Download and install them first!

To install this mod, unzip the zip file to the Cyberpunk 2077 installation folder.
