About This Mod

My goal in creating this fashion was to remove the minimum level requirement for all Witcher Gear items in the game so that Geralt could immediately use all Witcher Gear items he finds and manufactures. The reason is simple:


Geralt must travel far and wide to collect all the craft diagrams needed to create a fully updated Witcher Gear set. This can take many hours of play.

The diagrams themselves often have to be captured from a powerful monster guarding them. This prevents Geralt from collecting diagrams at a very low level.

The best wargear diagrams can only be produced after completing two high-level quests to unlock the master blacksmith. This takes a significant amount of extra time and further prevents a very low-level character from accessing better equipment.

Creating a complete Witcher Gear kit requires a few rare/expensive crafting items, as well as a decent amount of money. Again, this makes it very difficult to acquire equipment at low levels.

Despite all of the above (and because of the way the game controls XP), the game sets minimum requirements for the level of all items of equipment, making it nearly impossible to use the best equipment literally before the final battle.
