About This Mod

After three years of promises, excuses, and other formalities (and a load gap of exactly 3,000 mods), I, 4Strings, the main drain, finally introduce you, ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, elves, dwarves, halflings, and vampires...

BLOVIKEN WITCH BUTCHER SET

Continuation of the world famous (for its complete inferiority)

The Witcher's Armor

Using the best available modding tools for W3 - no doubt thanks to CDPR, and with a huge thank you to the hardworking MODDERS who painstakingly collected and reworked the game - this mod is the epitome of my four-year journey to replicate this fan-created image in the game while creating minimal interference in other assets.

This mod is a scaled down and simplified "upgrade" of the RWA and contains (at the moment) one complete witch pack consisting of armor, pants, boots, gloves, and a steel and silver sword. The objects have statues located somewhere between their excellent and masterful counterparts (maybe a little closer to the masterpieces), and can be obtained, in a truly RWA-fashion, by performing two quests of masters in Velena/Novigrad "Master Armorers" and "Of Swords and Dumplings".

Although this mod alters significantly less vanilla game assets than RWA, we are still limited by the inability to modify .redcloth files, which are essentially fabric models for things like Ursin's "dress" armor, and which are the reason RWA broke down after the 1.30 update when CDPR added this restriction (thanks, CDPR).

Because of these limitations (and some personal preferences), the main version of this mod requires the installation of thin_o_vintage's "The Berserker - Unofficial Concept Art Ursine Armour" (v15) and Reaper et al's "Witcher 3 - Enhanced Edition" (v4.93, so if you have an earlier version of W3EE, please update it), in addition to HoS, BaW and all free DLC.

Also available in the Additional Files section are the "Vanilla Edition", which does not require the installation of additional mods, and the "Non-W3EE Edition", which does not require the installation of Enhanced Edition mods, but retains dark gray textures and requires The Berserker or similar mods.

These alternate versions have undergone minimal testing and may contain several bugs. If you find a bug, please report it in the Bugs section.

Please note that there are currently no plans to create a short skirt version of this fashion, so please do not ask for this.

INSTALLATION

This mod must be set manually, and if not, the mod will be broken.

To install the mod, download the .7z file of your selection and extract the contents of the DLC and Mods folders in the archive in the dlc and mods directories respectively located in the Witcher 3 software installation root directory.

After installation, create the "mods.settings" file (essentially a .txt file with a modified extension) in the "Documents\The Witcher 3" folder and set the mod_blaviken priority higher than W3EEMain if you are using the initial version (don't worry, the only conflicting file between them is the settings for rewards for craftsmen quests, nothing else changes) and lower than The Berseker mode (or similar).

This mode is script independent, so you DO NOT NEED to use Script Merger for it.
