(Classic Edition) Pause and menu anytime
About This Mod
This mod is obsolete for the next generation version of the game (4.0+). It is only needed if you are still using a version up to the next generation.
A standalone feature of my Friendly HUD mod, if you have Friendly HUD installed, you don't need to install this one.
Allows you to access the main menu at any time, even from the dialogs and cutscenes/prerendered movies.
Allows you to pause the game at any time, even in dialogs and scenes. Prerendered rollers cannot be paused.
The default pause hotkey is F11 (configurable from the hotkey menu).
Installation
This mode requires a Unification patch to work properly.
1. Copy the modPauseAndMenuAnytime to the Path To\The Witcher 3\Mods folder.
2. Insert the contents of the input.settings.part.txt file into the beginning of the Documents\The Witcher 3\input.settings file (required for pause hotkey operation).
3. Insert the contents of the input.xml.part.txt file into the Path To\The Witcher 3\bin\config\r4game\user_config_matrix\pc\input.xml file right before the <!— [BASE_CharacterMovement] —> line (required for pause hotkey operation).
4. Use Script Merger to troubleshoot conflicts with other mods.
Uninstall
1. Remove the modPauseAndMenuAnytime from the Path To\The Witcher 3\mods folder.
2. Remove the contents of input.xml.part.txt from the Path To\The Witcher 3\bin\config\r4game\user_config_matrix\pc\input.xml file (required to remove pause hotkey from hotkey menu).
3. Use Script Merger to fix merged scripts.
