About This Mod

THIS FASHION IS NO LONGER NEEDED AFTER PATCH 1.12.

Personally, I'm tired of having to look into my inventory during battles to see if I have any oil left on my blade. This fashion saves you from this problem! It adds an indicator to the area of the screen where your current buffs are displayed, which tells you the type of oil applied as well as the number of uses left before it runs out. Because the game is encoded, it displays the number of remaining uses in the same way as minutes are displayed for regular buffs.

Gopher showed this mod in one of his videos (thank you very much!). You can see the mod in action at about 6:00 in this video.

Using Fashion

There are two modes in which this mod can work. Mode 1 is the default mode.

Mode 1: Oil icon displayed when sword is drawn

Draw one of your swords and a light should appear if it is covered with oil! If this does not happen, an error occurs (see the "Error Message" section for more information).

Mode 2: The oil icon for both swords is displayed whether or not the sword is drawn

To activate this mode, you need to open a text file in the mod folder. At the very top is the alwaysDisplayOils variable, which is set by default in false. Change the value to true to enable this mode.

In this mode, the oil icons for both swords will always be on the screen.

Mod conflicts

If you use this mod together with other mods, please be aware that conflicts can sometimes occur. I would recommend trying AnotherSymbiote's Script Merger. It can resolve many conflicts, but it is not fail-safe. If you did, but you still have problems, please leave a comment here and I'll see what can be done.

Current known conflicts that cannot be resolved by Script Merger:

Buffy in the radial menu from Germ1nal

Buffs repositioned by by TheLastWitcher

If you are using one of the above mods, please check the download page to see if a version compatible with your mod is available. If you are using one of these files, you need to make sure that this mod takes precedence over the mode it conflicts with in your mods.settings file. Also, DO NOT attempt to use Script Merger with the above files and this mod. This can cause problems, and there is no need for it.
