Cinematic reconstruction
About This Mod
Inspired by the cinematic trailer for Subnautica, this preset aims to recreate the cinematic look of the trailer and give the game a realistic sense of a sunken ship.
Options.
SMAA+FXAA - Advanced Anti-aliasing, Disable AA in-game (On/Off in 9)
MatsoDOF - cinematic depth of field for screen archers (on/off in 0)
MXAO - environment occlusion, not used if using RTGI (on/off on +)
SSR - Reflection (On/Off on -)
RTGI (not included in mod) - Ray Traced Global Illumination, do not use MXAO if you use it.
Turning them off has a lower impact on performance.
Proposal.
In-game settings - disable in-game anti-aliasing, dithering, motion blur, and color filters.
White light - recommended because it works well with in-game lighting.
Known issues.
Startup/Resolution/Crash Issues - Rename dxgi.dll to d3d11.dll.
Blurred Text/UI - DOF is only for OSD archers, menus and AA recolor also blurs the text a bit. If you are having problems, we recommend using in-game FXAA (TAA is not recommended because it is too blurred).
Too slow presets - make sure you're using Reshade AA instead of In-Game AA and turn off some options to improve performance.
Presets too sharp - change the FilmicAnamorphSharpen treble offset from 2 to 1.
Too bright preset - increase the total white level of the lightum until the desired brightness is achieved.
Laminaria too dark - adjust the exposure of green in Lightroom from -1 to -0.5 or 0. But the bright green colors do not fit well with the rest of the preset, especially this affects the absent river.
Too dark at night - you can adjust the darkness by increasing the global black curve in Lightroom. However, this preset should be slightly darker than in the vanilla game.
