Third, you need to change the SoD2_ideal_community.cfg file. Use Notepad or Wordpad, it's just a text file ascii.

Most settings should be pretty obvious, but here's a general idea:

The program runs for (RunMins + RunSecs) and tries to create characters for you so you can create your community.

The MouseEventWait parameter ensures that the Windows UI logs a mouse event before the next click attempt.

Too small a number here means that mouse clicks will be asynchronous to OCR functions and the program will not work properly.

ScaleFactor is used by OCR code to scale images before trying to extract text. At lower resolutions, this can help improve accuracy.

DoSharpen instructs the program to collapse the sharpen mask on top of the image before extracting text. At lower resolutions, this can help improve accuracy.

DoOCRCleanup performs a number of fixes to fix common errors and spelling errors.

HPFilterVal is the minimum rgb value required for a pixel to be considered "silent".

DoPromptToContinue will let you know when the program is finished if there are still free symbol slots available.

SlotsUnavailable means that you want the program to ignore these symbol slots when throwing symbols.

ProfilesComplete makes the program think about one or more of yOur character profiles are already ready.

The system used to select character traits and survivors has changed slightly. The new system provides much more flexibility than the previous one.

Now you create TraitProfiles, which define the different types of characters that will make you.

TraitProfile is simply a group of lists containing the type information you want to find. In this group, each list name must be preceded by a "+" or "-" symbol, which indicates whether the features in this list are good or bad.

Good character traits are necessary for a character to possess. Bad traits are those that disqualify a survivor.

For example, one TraitProfile looks something like this: +listname1+listname2-listname3

You create multiple TraitProfiles profiles and separate them with commas in the TraitProfiles string.

Lists are what they look like, a list of features. However, you also give it a name and a number. The list name is used by TraitProfiles to identify the list. The number tells the program,

how many features of this list are necessary for success if the list is good; or how many features disqualify a survivor if the list is bad.

The list looks something like this: name; number; trait1,trait2,trait3

Support for custom resolution of the game window:I also provided some configuration options,

so that you can use permissions in a ratio other than 16:9.

So, how do you actually use this thing?

After configuring the configuration file:

A. Start State of Decay 2

B. Set it to window mode, select one of the 16:9 or 1280x960 permissions, or define custom UI settings for the preferred resolution

C. Go to Communities Management D. Select

empty community

E. Select Skip Tutorial

F. Once the window changes to show three potential survivors, run SoD2_ideal_community.bat batch file

If you move the mouse while the program is running, it will pause until you move it back to the scroll button it is targeting.

The utility moves and clicks on your behalf, automating the process of selecting the survivor.

If the program exits before all 3 survivors are configured, simply restart the command file again, and remember to move it so that it does not overlap with State of Decay

It doesn't have to overwrite the good characters it found earlier, it will just overwrite the 'bad' characters.

However, if you are unlucky, the OCR code may make a small mistake and not recognize a set of features that it has previously had.

Therefore, it is recommended to set the SlotsUnavailable variable after running the program and lock the slots that have symbols that you want to save.
