About This Mod

This mod introduces "Partridge", a heavy vertical take-off and landing transport that can move vehicles


The Partridge was a rotary-propelled, single-stage orbital launch vehicle (SSTO) with a medium-caliber automatic cannon mounted under the cockpit (accuracy of fire unknown). (The mod is a truncated version, I will mount a 30mm gun when Phil comes out of air combat.) Due to the design of the chassis, the "Partridge" can take off and land only vertically, and each shuttle can transport up to one or two large vehicles at a time; in addition, heavy cargo (such as fuel tanks and Patriot power armor [soon]) can be secured to the bottom of the shuttle for convenient transportation. transport. (I'm too lazy to draw the cargo bay, so this thing is just a trucker.)


Although Partridge's engines seem to be just jet engines, they appear to be capable of operating in both atmosphere and vacuum simultaneously, suggesting that it is actually some advanced rocket engine, combined-cycle (supercharged and closed-cycle) engine, or nuclear fusion jet. Whatever type of engine it uses, it must be highly efficient; the design of the Partridge shuttle demonstrates that its fuel tank size is very small (compared to single-stage orbiters).
