About This Mod
Vanilla Races Expanded is an entirely new series of mods that expand the possibilities of biotechnology, amplify the plot and world of RimWorld and introduce a new heterotype with unique genes, behaviors, mechanics and objects.
This mod expands the hussar heterotype and adds a whole new set of genes designed to make this heterotype more advanced than just a "good fighting pawn". He also adds a brand new heterotype, Lancer, a rare and powerful soldier fueled by Luciferius.
The Lancer is an offshoot of the trophy hussar, seen by some elements as a counteraction to the military's super-soldier program. Their genetic dependence on Luciferium is both a deterrent against capture and improves long-term utility.
The Lancers, who are called demons because of their constantly reddened skin and intense blood thirst, are incredibly hardy and specialize in a particular fighting style. They often have heavy armor and are capable of attacking targets at full speed.
Because they are so specialized and on constant alert, many suggest that their development was sponsored by giant corporations as part of the recent arms race. No substantial evidence has been provided in support of these allegations.
