[RF] Fishing-ReWork addon
About This Mod
This mod greatly enhances gameplay elements such as fishing; it is a reworking of the "[RF] Fishing [1.0]" and "[RF] Fishing" mods for Rimworld.
Quote from the original fashion description (sent by "Rainbeau Flamebe"):
How fishing works.
Fishing is a special type of work, which depends on the skill of animals. Pawns with higher skills can fish faster and catch more fish. (Fishing is also an activity for pawns who are passionate about their Animal skill.)
Fishing spots are depleted if you fish in one place for a long time, so from time to time you need to move to "recharge" your batteries.
Fish and eel can be caught anywhere, but the species depends on the biome; eel is caught more often in swamps than in water cages. Squid can only be caught on marine tiles (textured tiles).
Shellfish traps can automatically catch shellfish and small fish without any interaction with the pawn. In the process, however, they may suffer minor damage and require repairs.
Fish and shellfish can be cleaned (cut) into meat, and squid and eels can be cut into both meat and skin.
Fashion also adds ice fishing spots. Ice fishing areas function in the same way as normal fishing areas, but can only be created on the tails of frozen river or lake water. 0+]"), can be created using Fumblesneeze mod "Ice [1.0]" (and its update "Rimedieval - Ice add-on") or Nature's Pretty Sweet.
It will also appear on the Manufacturing tab in the Architect menu only if there is at least one mod in the Freeze mod list.
Differences from the original fashion.
Updated textures. (All fish, fish meat, fishing grounds, even fishing rods).
Several new fish were added. (Especially many new clams.)
Small fish can be roasted on fire. (French fries added).
Fish are no longer piled together like animal carcasses. Fish and shellfish are now separated from raw meat.
Fish traders are added to caravans and to guests. (No need to worry about maps without water). (Events added).
Fish traders sell carcasses of fish. Fish meat is sold by common traders as well as animal meat.
Clothes made of squid and eel can now be burned.
Camel wool is no longer caught in garbage collection (as it was in the previous version). Instead, you can catch the hides of animals or people. This has little impact on the settlers. For example, they may cause fear or, conversely, enthusiasm. Depending on its characteristics.
All dishes are removed (for this purpose, another mod-supplement for seafood dishes "[RF] Fishing-ReWork Seafood and Sushi Addon" has been created).
You can use seafood as a vanilla dish for predators. (since fashion version 18.08.2022).
Support for save files (Save):
Installing to a save file is safe.
Be careful when uninstalling: it is dangerous to remove mods while something is happening to the mod in the game.
When deleting a fashion, replacing it with another similar fashion on fishing or switching from the original fashion:
Removing or cutting raw fish from the card.
Dismantling fishing areas and snail traps.
Remove some resources created by this mod (fish meat, eel skins, etc.).
When you start the game, you will probably see a small error log. However, you can easily skip it and continue the game.
Compatibility.
Not compatible with the original fishing mode "[RF] Fishing [1.0]" and its continuation "[RF] Fishing".
It has almost no problems with other fishing modes. However, the author of fashion suggests that the corpses of fish are treated differently and can cause confusion.
"WaterFreezes" (water freezes in winter) - maintained. It includes ice fishing areas.
Biomes ("Biomes. Islands, Biomes. Core") - are generally compatible. Fishing in the lagoons is possible. (Biome limitations can cause problems with the type of fish you can catch.)
"Extended vanilla cooking" - compatible.
- Allows you to grill small fish.
- Canning of seafood is possible. (The meat of each seafood can be preserved together with the crab (appearance only)).
- Medium-sized carcasses of fish can be grilled.
"Expanding vanilla cooking - sushi".
- Fish meat can be used as sushi material.
Food mode:
Attention. A patch is required to use fish and seafood as (instead of) "raw meat".

"Better Survival Meals [1.2]" and an update to this mode "MoreSurvivalMeal [1.3]". - Two additional types of food.
"GouRIMet" - renews old dishes and adds some new ones.
"RimCuisine2" and mod updates "RimCuisine 2 Core (continued)" (adds new crops and types of food), "RimCuisine 2: All Plants All Biomes Patch (continued)" (removes the restriction on food biomes. ).
"Vanilla Cooking Expanded" - many culinary recipes that affect the settlers.
"Parade of vanilla gourmets" - 45 additional dishes.
"[RF] Fishing-ReWork Seafood and Sushi Addon" is an optional mod supplement. Adds recipes for seafood and sushi.
"[RF] Fishing Recipes" - recipes for preparing the catch.
"[RF] Bonus Fishing Recipes" - bonus recipes for cooking food caught fishing.
"Zal's Smoked Meat" - additional smoked meat/fish for almost all fishing modes.
"Zal's Smoked Meat PF Edition" - additional smokehouse and smoked meat/fish for "[SYR] Processor Framework".
"[SYR] Processor Framework" - Compatible with. It takes a "Zal's Smoked Meat PF Edition" mod to turn food into food together.
The Seafood Farm adds a vertical seafood farm that eventually produces seaweed, mussels and oysters.
"Diet-Compliant Survival Meals" - dietary, vegetarian and carnivorous food.
Incompatible:
There can be minor difficulties with other modes such as fishing, water, freezing water, ice, water creatures and their food, aquatic biomes, water passability.
Vanilla Achievements Expanded (VAE) compatible:

Players receive pop-up rewards and achievement points that are not only displayed, but can also be used to trigger several existing in-game events.
Compatibility with "Seafood" meat substitute:

By separating the "Seafood Meat" category from the "Raw Meat" category, you will no longer be able to use seafood instead of raw meat in all recipes as before. This is done to prevent the use of seafood in dishes such as beef steaks, grilled meats and burgers.
Seafood can still be used instead of raw meat, as the vanilla version already has fixed gourmet food, luxury food, pemmikan and granules.
To use seafood instead of raw meat in recipes added by fashion, a patch is needed for each recipe.
Currently, the author of fashion (Si-Cafe) has already prepared patches for some "fashionable cookery recipes" and is accepting applications for the missing ones.
However, please do not intend to patchy recipes in which seafood is clearly not a "substitute" for raw meat.
Will this be a mass patch as a separate fashion? - At the moment, the author of this fashion (Si-Cafe) is not going to make a large number of patches. This is because he has very few requests at the moment and does not consider it necessary.
If you want to use fish meat more efficiently, the fashion author recommends using its mod "[RF] Fishing-ReWork Seafood and Sushi Addon".
