"Better VPE Skipdoor Pathing" mod
About This Mod
This mod provides the opportunity for your wards to "use" the skipdors from Vanilla Psycasts Expanded when moving and performing tasks. However, all the cells where the access doors are located are considered as neighbors to calculate the route. Only pawns with Humanlike or ToolUser intelligence are allowed the freedom to use the walk-through doors, but this is excluded during mental breakdowns or "wandering" states. Pawns with Animal intelligence can only use walk-through doors if they follow someone else (be it a leash or a pet following its owner).
There are configuration options to determine who is allowed to use the walk-through doors to pave the way (all friends, enemies). Note that in the default settings, enemies have access to pass doors as colonists, so use them with caution.
Additionally, to improve performance, if it is impossible to get to a place without using passing doors, pawns will not route to it.
The difference from VPE Skipdoor Pathing fashion:
VPE Skipdoor Pathing adds tasks to the queue of pawns to use walk-through doors. This provides the advantage of displaying an animation of the activation of the passing doors. However, this approach has drawbacks when pawns attempt multi-stage tasks such as refueling or hunting, which can lead to endless cycles of passing through the entry doors. This mode changes the path search by treating all tiles with passing doors as adjacent. Therefore, there will be no fancy animation (at least for now), but no problems with complex tasks.
