About This Mod

This is a preset for improving M&B2 graphics. To use it, you need two things: Reshade and RTGI + Immerse Pro from Pascal Gilcher / Marty'sMod.

FIRST OF ALL!

WARNING 1 ---->

This is ONLY a SETTING that will help you get a good base if you want to use Reshade and Marty's Mods Immerse Pro.

WARNING 2 ---->

RTGI and Immerse Pro ARE NOT FREE: to use this setting, you need to be a cartridge, it starts here: Marty's Mods

WARNING 3 ----> I will not assist in the installation and use of RTGI and Immerse Pro. The process isn't complicated, but it didn't turn on and play either. If you become a patron, you will be able to join their Discord and find all the necessary documentation, in addition, they will help you there.

If you still need help or want to discuss or share your findings, you can join here: Aero24 Discord

WARNING 4 —> RTGI works on any graphics card (not necessarily NVIDIA RTX). This setting is rather on the "ultra" side of things, so expect a HUGE FPS drop. I still manage to play battles with 1000 squads with full customizations on the venerable (but well optimized) I7-7900K and RTX3060, so if you don't mind dropping below 40 frames per second from time to time, you'll still enjoy improved graphics.

HOW TO INSTALL: Once you have the correct version of Reshade (you need the addon version from this page: Reshade) and RTGI + Immerse Pro installed, copy the ini file to your Bannerlord Bin game directory (/win64_shipping_client/). Once in Reshade (click Home), you can select the setting and it will boot.

The Reshade parameters should look like this:

Immerse modules are very editable, so my customization is basically (hopefully) a decent start, which you can customize to suit your taste. It’s not perfect, but it’s a good mix for Bannerlord: the menu and campaign map still look good with it. The only thing you may not like is the depth of the field: it is ideal for combat scenes, but blurs the letters in the dialogs (personally I turn it on and off if necessary, it takes 2 seconds, and you can even assign a key for it in Reshade).

You will not get the same image quality or immersion without the following mods/assettes made by experienced modders:

Orbis Terrae Armarium

Cinematic Combat

Ancient Civilisations

Vaegir Armoury

Open Source Armory

Swadian Armoury

Erik's Troops for Europe 1100

The conjunction of Spheres

Last but not least, if you don't want to use/pay for RTGI and Immerse Pro, you will find very interesting solutions with Ratthew settings (which also include another setting for RTGI) here.

Update: someone else made a preset Immerse Pro: nexusmods.com/mountandblade2bannerlord/mods/7381?tab=description

Another solution is Reshade Artem.
