With high-quality vanilla shaders (HD Vanilla) you can improve a lot in Minecraft Bedrock Edition - while retaining its original look. Add-ons have multiple permission types - go to Settings.

The creation is friendly to the precious frame in Maincraft PE. But it will start to ruthlessly destroy it if, say, you put 512x512. This can pull either top-end phones, or install immediately on the PC. In Minecraft PE you will find a "gentleman's set" of shaders:
