About This Mod
Rubidium Mod (1.20.1) is an unofficial fork of Sodium Mod created to work with Minecraft Forge; Rubidium includes all the features of classic Sodium; it is not compatible with Optifine; it is not compatible with Minecraft Forge; it is not compatible with Minecraft Forge.
The modern OpenGL rendering pipeline for rendering chunks, using multirendering technology and allowing to significantly reduce the CPU load (~90%) when rendering worlds. This greatly increases the frame rate on most computers that are not cluttered by GPUs or other components - even if the GPU fails, other rendering tasks can be performed while waiting for the CPU, resulting in a more stable frame time.
The vertex data in the rendering fragments became more compact, reducing the demands on video memory and bandwidth by about 40%.
Upgrading adjacent blocks now takes advantage of multithreading, which greatly reduces the delay spikes that occur when updating chunks.
Early in the rendering process, the faces of blocks that are not visible (or face away from the camera) are stripped out, so there is not a lot of geometry that is processed by the GPU and immediately discarded. For integrated GPUs, this significantly reduces memory bandwidth requirements and provides acceleration even when bound to a GPU.
Multiple optimizations for chunk loading and block rendering, which greatly speeds up chunk loading and reduces the damage to frame rate.

Smooth mixing of blocks and liquids in the biome, which greatly improves the quality of graphics and greatly reduces the computation.
Faster texture updates on most hardware (especially AMD cards) because animated textures that are not displayed in the world are not updated.
