About This Mod
Mod Modular Routers Mod (1.20.4) is a mod that adds a block, a subject router, and various routing modules and upgrades. Item routers have a buffer with an item storage slot and do nothing themselves, but run the installed modules (in order). These modules define actions such as moving items, retrieving items from adjacent inventory, placing/retrieving items and blocks to/from the world.
They are full of possibilities for interesting tricks to manipulate objects. While most other modes can do all of the above, modular routers can do them in a single box by simply plugging in the appropriate combination of modules.
Modular routers cannot unload items directly into the Mechanism's logistics conveyor (although it can be configured to pull a pipe from the item router). Items are unloaded into the EnderIO item channel; Immersive Engineering pipelines work well with item routers. Objects can be placed in the buffer and the Sender Mk1 or Dropper module can be used to unload items onto the conveyor (the Dropper module seems to work more reliably).
