About This Mod

Mod Lava Monsters (1.20.1) adds lava monsters. As the name suggests, they will float in lava blocks. They can be found in surface lava and cave lava in the aboveground world, as well as in the Subsoil. This mod is commonly used in hardcore mod packs such as BloodNBones.

This mod is recommended to those who are bored, because hostile mobs will no longer appear if you get lava. It's a small mod that adds a new hostile monster to the game that will sleep in lava and throw fireballs at you. The lava monster spawn conditions can be configured using a convenient property file.


Features.

It's a lava monster. Lava monsters will die in lava and throw burning fireballs at you as you approach them. They are quite weak and die in the water. If you walk on hard ground, a fire trail remains beneath your feet. Lava monsters sometimes drop good items, but they are usually instantly destroyed.

Lava monsters have a very demanding spawning condition: they must be welded in lava at the depth of at least two blocks, and at least one of these two blocks must be the source of the lava. (Default).

Through the properties file (created the first time Minecraft is run with the mod installed) you can indirectly change the frequency of lava monsters.

Nether spawn: if netter is constantly flooded with lava monsters or if you want to use other mods to improve netter, you can disable the lava monster spawn feature.

Depth Hazard Mode: Makes lava monsters a depth hazard and prevents them from appearing above layer 16. The lava layer is 10, so it becomes dangerous to the depth anyway. Basically it is necessary to ensure that the lava monsters do not annoy you if you use a lot of lava in construction.

Lava flow mode: remove the requirement to the source block. Lava monsters still require two blocks of deep lava (unless the shallow lava mode is enabled), but this is everywhere the lava flows, even for one block! Your lava flows with life... Or jumping with death. You can see it the way you want.

Shallow Lava Mode: You can generate a lava monster at a depth of one block. Turn this on if you want lava monsters to sleep in artificial lava pools or ditches (usually 1 block deep) or if you want to be more versatile.

Spam frequency: how often the mod tries to spawn lava monsters.
