About This Mod
Better Questing Forestry Mod (1.12.2) aims to simplify the process of adding Forest Bees quests for map and mod pack developers. You no longer have to worry about your bees not being saved because you entered the wrong NBT tag or accidentally provided unnecessary information. The main feature of this fashion is the addition of a new type of quest Better Questing, which allows developers and designers to specify bees from Forestry (or any Forestry plugin) through an easy-to-use graphical interface rather than specifying strict item matching or NBT codes. The idea is to allow demands to be made. Any sign of a bee can be given from small as one species to complex as a requirement of "hidden larvae that produce a poisonous cloud only at night and during rain". You can specify the desired combinations of features, or you can skip them altogether and allow you to pick up variants.
Task.
Forest Bee Pack: Choose any number of forest-compatible bees and fine tune their features to complete the task.
Key ID: query with Reddit (u/ArloTheEpic). Allows players to specify a key code to enter. Useful if you want to hide your secret password somewhere in the quest door for new players, without restricting experienced players to replay!
Command:
Maud adds the command: /findtrait, which is very useful for job developers who need to easily get signs from contained bees and dynamically access chromosomes found in registered bees. Check the /forestry give command in Forestry to make it even easier to use.
Settings:
The default settings for all missions can now be selected from the in-game settings menu, so you don't have to switch between the same settings over and over again. This eliminates the need to specify that all bees should be queens.
