About This Mod
The steamcmd-centric tool converts all your misnamed mod folders into mods that can be detected using the kenshi mod loader.
If you've ever used the official Kenshi SteamCMD tool to retrieve workshop items, you may have noticed that the game launcher doesn't recognize the steam mode. This is because the startup program must be named the same as the mode folder.mode files inside. Instead, Steam packages the downloaded content into a folder with the name specified in the corresponding ModID provided by the service (for example, "726254871" instead of "Recruiters").
What this tool does is that you can fix every mod folder in your directory, whether it's a steam or Nexus download, with a folder name and a mod file so that Kenshi launcher doesn't detect mods for incorrect naming.
How to use:
Find the directory that contains your mod, it can be Kenshi or your personal repository:
Drag the loaded file.Run the bat file in the directory containing the mode.
It's safe to use because it's not a folder that contains a properly named mode folder, and it changes the name itself, I have no collateral damage.
Notes:
This is my first mod for Nexus, I do not know how malware detection works here, Nexus downloads innate files with open discussion bat to inform me about it. The tool is completely safe because I am its first user and personally it saved me a lot of time.
This tool is especially desirable for a large collection of steam mods that someone can download using SteamCMD, since renaming all mods in it can take a long time, and in the worst case can take a few seconds.
In other words, if you want to view business documentation, go to a directory called Documents, which contains all folders containing business, educational, home, and medical records.
We plan to migrate to Linux Mint (Xfce) for the potato PC, so in the near future we will create it for Linux. If necessary, check with macos to see if Kenshi is actually playing on the Apple guy device...
