About This Mod
Helldivers 2 is a multiplayer game that includes anti-fraud measures. Although cosmetic mods on the client side are unlikely to work (and have not yet worked in a few hours of personal testing), modding of any kind is carried out solely at the risk of the end user, and neither ToastedShoes, Kboy, Nexus Mods, nor other organizations can be held responsible for damage that may result from the use of mods. You've been warned!
PSA about file conflicts
Now that 3 separate cosmetic mods are available on Nexus, we would like to talk a little bit about "patches" and how they work. These cosmetic mods use the patch system built into the Helldivers 2 engine to... well, patch what we want! Each patch has a patch number that specifies the order in which it is downloaded, starting at 0. At the moment all cosmetic mods use the same patch number - patch 0, but it is not necessary! If you want to use multiple mods together that do NOT conflict in content (for example, Clone Trooper and Master Chief replace the same armor set B-01 Tactical), simply rename the three files of each mod in the order you want, for example, patch_1, patch_2, etc.!
We are also considering the possibility of automating the numbering process using the Mod Organizer 2 plug-in. Stay tuned!
Installation
Unzip the downloaded archive from the Files tab and place its files in the game data directory located at <your steam library>\steamapps\common\Helldivers 2\data.
