About This Mod
Completely stunned by the Germans, the Soviet troops launched an offensive to surround the Axis troops in Stalingrad. The operation (codenamed "Uranus") that Zhukov had been planning since September was already in full swing; OKV was already planning a counter-offensive to ease the situation of the 6th Army. However, all the nearest divisions were in minority, inferior in number and superior in armaments.
General Paulus and the 6th Army were surrounded and isolated.
On other fronts, after Operation Torch, Allied forces drove the Axis powers out of North Africa. How long can Tunisia last? And in the Pacific, Japan was expanding its empire across Asia, capturing Malaysia, Indonesia, and the Philippines. But she was unbeatable, losing four aircraft carriers in the US-Japan Battle of Midway.
