About This Mod
The Realistic Nukes mod for Hearts of Iron 4 aims to make the use of nuclear weapons more realistic and interesting.
The mod makes several changes:
Nuclear bombs will make bombed areas radioactive! Soldiers will no longer be able to enter the zone. An area only becomes a wasteland when the level of infrastructure falls below 3.
Radioactive contaminated land can be inhabited only after 180 days.
Nuclear wasteland can be inhabited within a month of a nuclear attack.
Nuclear weapons provide lower levels of military support.
The reactors are a bit better balanced.
Nuclear weapons are now killing the population.
Nuclear weapons can virtually destroy a division if it is in the zone of attack.
Maud has been tested on version 1.11.1.
