Project Ulysses is a mod for Hearts Of Iron IV that aims to bring the world of the Ace Combat series from Namco Bandai to the HOI4 setting. The "strange real" world of Ace Combat is home to many nations, many of which bear allegorical similarities to the nations of our world in terms of culture, language, geography, and history.


What is Ace Combat?


In Ace Combat, you play as a fighter pilot, flying for many nations, alliances, or even corporations, often failing, fighting powerful rivals, destroying high-tech super-weapons, and waging miraculously solo war, revealing the origins and nature of intrigues and conflicts to turn the tide of war. The Ace Combat series has always enjoyed immense popularity due to its famous plot, gameplay and soundtrack.


What is Project Ulysses?


Project Ulysses can be played anywhere in the Ace Combat universe. Because it is not a fully-built world, beyond ordinary nations, there are a few of our own nations that have been improvised to fill in the map. These nations were created to be credible in the context of the world, but to provide unique history and opportunities if players chose to play these nations. We adhere to the canon whenever possible, but please understand that Project Ulysses contains non-canonical material and should not be used as a method of cross-referencing the canon.


What's in the demo


A journey through the history of the Belka Federation since 1991, through the peak of the Belka economic crisis, the political upheaval in the country and the rise of the BJP, ending with the Belka war on March 25, 1995. Will you be able to change history and restore the glory of Squirrel, or will you be defeated by allied troops?

Revised division design — more emphasis is placed on brigade units, reducing the number of infantry used in modern armies.

Beta version of industrial wood.
