About This Mod
Ride for Ruin takes you to the third age of The Lord of the Rings, the apocalypse. Take control of one of the cult nations of Middle-earth and save the world or plunge it into eternal darkness.
Features.
Take part in the great clashes that will unfold in the War of the Ring: defeat the Dark Lord once and for all, or lead his armies and enslave the world for ever!
Accurate, detailed and beautiful custom maps of Middle-earth.
Custom priority trees, solutions, characters and ideas for Gondor, Rohan, Isengard and Mordor.
An alternative way of history to crown Grim, King of Rohan, or to start a rebellion against his unjust rule.
News events with many iconic scenes from the Lord of the Rings trilogy.
A system of capturing or destroying a single ring based on skills.
Basic principles and plans
Each country in the game will have unique content, including focus trees.
Gondor, Rohan, Isengard, and Mordor will receive extensive alt-history paths and other content changes.
Countries must engage with each other through focus, decisions, and events.
Books and films serve as guidance and inspiration, but accuracy is not at the forefront of interesting gameplay.
The ring system will eventually be redesigned into a custom focus tree for the Brotherhood, which will interact with many countries.
Maps are constantly improving.
