About This Mod

For more than a century, the British Empire ruled nearly a billion souls, controlled all the oceans, and owned every continent. The ancient Habsburgs ruled Central Europe and its environs, the Romanovs ruled from the Baltic to the Pacific, and the whole world lurked under the curtain of one continent. This was the Earth in the light of European civilization. A global empire that will last for more than a thousand years.


It's not that simple.


Tesla’s burgeoning energy ushered in the "Second Renaissance," the greatest era of technological progress since the Industrial Revolution. Wireless energy brought the unimaginable, bringing the whole world together, and at one time Tesla's dream of total human happiness seemed feasible. Yet humanity has proved unworthy of such lofty goals.


The First World War, which broke out between the imperial powers and the Latin Bourbon dynasties, tore the world apart. Progress that once sought to end shortages has become a blood-soaked nightmare. Failed Japan was thrown into revolution and civil war, Spain into anarchy, and the 300-year-old Bourbon dynasty fell. A world free from war has been scarred and traumatized by the loss of a generation from peacetime.


With the new year of 1933, the world entered a new era of uncertainty. France is seeking to reclaim its European hegemony, Russia is facing a terrible unwinnable war, and a bitter wave of enmity has engulfed it. Japan is seeking to emerge from isolation and trigger a wave of pan-Asian revolution. Across the Atlantic, the Commonwealth has become increasingly assertive, threatening to split the British Empire as occurred in ancient Rome.


Who knows what the future holds, but one thing is certain: Pax Britannica is about to stop.

Welcome to Pax Britannica: An Imperial Timeline, a sci-fi alternative history fashion for Hearts of Iron 4.


Fashion takes place after the failed American Revolution. Maud focuses on major changes in world history, compounded by the success of Nikola Tesla's wireless energy initiative. The Victorian era is frozen by this progress, creating an anarchic blend of jazz, Wellsian science fiction and transhumanism. This world is both familiar and completely alien, and this mod is designed to explore this universe and offer a unique style compared to other recovery mods.
