About This Mod

A tool to bypass the AVX2 and FMA instruction set requirements for GoWR. Note that performance will be degraded. No support is offered to run the game with this mod. If you have this problem, it is time to upgrade your processor if you are able to.


This mode is only needed if you see a similar pop-up window when starting a game.





Instructions:


  • Download mod and unpack to any folder.
  • Create a shortcut to the sde.exe file by right-clicking the file and selecting Create Shortcut from the shortcut menu.
  • Right-click the created shortcut and select Properties from the shortcut menu.
  • Using "EXAMPLE SHORTCUT" as a template, add these lines to the end of the Target:-hsw — "PATH_TO_GoWR.exe" shortcut
  • Where "PATH_TO_GoWR.exe" is the full path to the game executable. It must be inside quotation marks. Example: "F:\Games\God of War - Ragnarok\GoWR.exe".
  • The path can be obtained by right-clicking on the game executable file (GoWR.exe) and selecting "Copy as path" from the context menu.
  • Launch the game using a shortcut.
  • The game can take a long time to load (up to 10 minutes). Just wait for it to load and finish compiling the shaders before starting the game.
  • The sde.exe process must remain running during the game. If sde.exe closes with you, it means that you have some configuration issues. Try running sde.exe as an administrator.
