About This Mod

Final Fantasy XVI currently lacks RPG elements related to equipment and accessories. This mod was created to provide returning players with a different experience, encourage them to change weapons more frequently, and use each sword's new unique effect.


The effects themselves were designed to be much stronger than the corresponding accessories, allowing Clive to perform new SSStylish technologies by reducing the delay time or giving players an incentive to use all of their Eiconic arsenal, including Torgal and underutilized abilities such as Flare Breath.


In addition to the unique special effects, each weapon of this rank has the same total power (ATK and Stagger), but the damage can be distributed differently between the two stats.


Some weapons are too powerful for the time you get them in the game. This is a known problem due to the lack of upgrade stages and the desire to make each weapon equal in the endgame. In the future, mod may add more stages of modernization. In the meantime, consider it your choice whether to use these weapons earlier than scheduled or not!


In the future, some changes may affect and belts, tambras, and even accessories!


In addition to weapon changes, the progression of the gear has been redesigned, and players will now have to make better use of their resources.

This is the mod for Reloaded-II. FFXVI Mod Loader is also required.


Below is (hopefully!) a complete list of all the changes made by the mod:


SWORD CHANGES - NG

  • Sparring Sword, Rosarian Oath, and Imperial Infantry Blade remained unchanged.
  • Base swords get 100 ATK, 100 WIL
  • +1 base swords get 225 ATK, 175 WIL
  • +2 base swords get 350 ATK, 250 WIL
  • Each base sword has a special effect:

-Wide Sword takes increased Torgal damage (effect strength 500, Caval bite 70)

-Longsword takes increased attack damage (+200%)

-Bastard's sword takes increased damage from combo (+200%)

-Gaia Blade takes increased damage from a downward hit (+200%)

-Platinum Sword takes increased WILL damage (+200%)

-Enhancer takes increased damage from a burning blade (+200%)

-Diamond Sword takes increased damage from Breaking Magic Will (+200%)

-Rune Blade is 0.4 seconds faster to charge with magic

-Defender gains increased potion efficiency (+100%)

  • Elemental swords get 150 ATK, 150 WIL
  • Radiant elemental swords receive 300 ATK, 300 WIL
  • Each elemental sword has a special effect:

-Stormcry reduces the Hand Gambit wait time by 20 seconds (almost instantaneously after Gambit Counter)

-Flametongue gains +100% of limit break caliber generation on attack

-Levinbolt reduces the Thunderstorm's action time by 20 seconds

-Grindstone reduces Upheaval lifetime by 25 seconds (almost instantaneous when used to block attack)

-Brightburn reduces Flare Breath lifetime by 20 seconds

-Icebrand reduces Mesmerize lifetime by 9 seconds

-Everdark takes increased damage from Heaven's Cloud (+400%)

-Tidestrike reduces Abyssal Tear timeout

  • Invictus gets 300 ATK, 300 WIL and reduces Heatwave timeout by 15 seconds (almost immediately after Heatwave Counter)
  • Coral Sword gets 200 ATK, 400 WIL and increases Zantetsuken generation with Dancing Steel by 100%.
  • Ancient Sword Gets 400 ATK, 200 WIL and Escapement Bit Effect
  • Excalibur gets 300 ATK, 300 WIL and Revivement Bit effect
  • Masamune takes 300 ATK, 300 WIL, and +300% air combo damage
  • Ragnarok gets 325 ATK, 325 WIL, but has no special effect
  • Gotterdammerung gets 350 ATK, 350 WIL, but has no special effect
  • Fallen Enforcer gets 400 ATK, 250 WIL, but has no special effect
  • Omega Weapon gets 450 ATK, 250 WIL, but has no special effect
  • Tonberry Knife gets 250 ATK, 450 WIL, but has no special effect

SWORD CHANGES - FF mode

  • Same special effects as when changing NG swords for the corresponding upgraded weapon
  • +3 base swords get 350 ATK, 350 WIL
  • Base swords +4 get 500 ATK, 400 WIL
  • Reinforced base swords receive 625 ATK, 475 WIL
  • Reinforced elemental swords get 375 ATK, 375 WIL
  • Reinforced Radiant Elemental Swords receive 550 ATK, 550 WIL
  • Invictus +1 gets 550 ATK, 550 WIL
  • Coral Sword Reforged Gets 400 ATK, 700 WIL
  • Ancient Sword Reforged Gets 700 ATK, 400 WIL
  • Excalibur Reforged gets 550 ATK, 550 WIL
  • Masamune Reforged gets 550 ATK, 550 WIL
  • Ragnarok Reforged gets 575 ATK, 575 WIL
  • Gotterdammerung Reforged Gets 625 ATK, 625 WIL
  • Fallen Enforcer Reforged Gets 700 ATK, 475 WIL
  • Omega Weapon Reforged Gets 775 ATK, 475 WIL
  • Tonberry Knife +1 gets 475 ATK, 775 WIL
  • Ultima Weapon Gets 625 ATK, 625 WIL
  • Original Sin takes 700 ATK, 700 WIL and increased wet damage (+5%).

Recipe changes - NG / FF mode

  • All gray / +3 base swords (except Broadsword) are now worth 3500 gil each
  • Base swords +1 / +4 (except Diamond Sword) now require 500 / 1000 Wirrith and the corresponding materials to be made from gray / +3 base sword.
  • For base swords requiring Magic Ash, Rabies Valley or Blood Skin, 200/400 of these materials are now required
  • The fabrication of base swords +2 / refactorized now requires 1000 / 2000 vairrites (some may require 400 / 800 magical ash, sharp fang, blood skin or 200 / 400 clutchmine) and 10 meteorites to make the base sword +1 / +4
  • Elementary swords are no longer required to create the previous sword. Instead, they require plot development (as in vanilla) and 5 meteorites
  • Icebrand and Tidestrike also require 1000 / 2000 Magicked AshEverdark also require 1000 / 2000 Sharp Fangs
  • Radiant elemental swords can now be made using the appropriate elemental sword, 15 meteorites, and hunting materials (or aquamarine):

-Radiant Stormcry now requires 15 Clouded Eye.

-Radiant Flametongue now requires 6 Scarletite

-Radiant Levinbolt now requires 15 Coeurl Whiskers

-Radiant Grindstone now requires 1 Stone Tongue

-Radiant Brightburn now requires 25 Dragon Talon

-Radiant Icebrand now requires 2 Behemoth Shackles

-Radiant Everdark now requires 2 Darksteel

-Radiant Tidestrike now requires 4 Aquamarine

  • Base swords +1 / +4 can no longer be made directly
  • Snake rings now cost 1 aquamarine instead of 2.
  • Ultima Weapon no longer requires Everdark Reforged
  • All other recipes remained unchanged

Changes in objects - NG / FF mode

  • (Impeccable) meteorites now cost 4000 / 8000 gil
  • Wirrite, Magic ash, Blood skins, Valley madmen, Sharp fangs, Clutchmins now cost 200 gil
  • Dark steel now comes in packages of 2 pieces
  • Scarletite now appears in packs of 2 (4 for Fastitocalone hunting).
  • Also 2 instead of 1 can be obtained from the side quest "Hot Water".
  • Stone tongue now drops in 2 packs
  • Hippopotamus' chains now drop in packs of 2 for hunting the Beast of the Cusa and the Marauder without a craftsman (3 for FF mode)
  • 5 Cloudy Eyes now fall out of Arun, 10 from Gisamaluk
  • Gil Bugs, Black Blood, Gobin Coins, Empty Fragments, Amber Boulders, Fallen Enigmas, One Man's Treasure now sold for 10 times the price
  • All other items remained unchanged
