About This Mod

It is a very lightweight mod that adds a Survival-style system of hunger, thirst and fatigue to the game. You will need to eat, drink and sleep, or you will be fined and possibly even die. Don't worry, not everything is so bad, you also get bonuses for eating well!

The system is modular, and will work well with any mods that add new items to the game, or even with mods that remake food, because my mod simply rewrites the food bonus from health recovery to hunger recovery. Drinks from other modes will require a patch, because all drinking items use the new H2O effect. Sleep is solved quickly and simply: you get tired, running or participating in battle, as well as passively awake. Sleep relieves fatigue. It's simple!

All conditions are displayed in your pipboy's pen section at the top of the list. You don't have to look for them. Reports on hunger levels are planned to be added in the future. Why did I do that when Survival mode came out? Not everyone may want to play with the full Survival mode changes. I know I need the Quicksave feature (my game is not stable enough to use their save system). Besides, they're taking their time with it.

Getting Started:

To get started, make sure you follow all the steps. The only hard part of fashion is to make "perk-mages" work properly.

Go to the Culinary Station in the new UTILITY section and start by creating a Start Hunger System item. It acts as a perk magazine that triggers the hunger system.

The thirst system will be unlocked when you exit the cookery station and log back in. The same is true of the fatigue system.

If you don't want to use a fatigue system, just don't create this object.

You don't use these items, they work like perk magazines. So once you've created them, click ENTER to continue.

This was done due to the very strange CTD when creating several perk magazines. Don't ask me why this is happening. I'll develop a better method soon.

Systems:

Eat food so that the level of hunger is not too high. When you get too much hunger, you start to lose health. Good nutrition gives you a bonus to maximum health and health regeneration.

Support your body with water from objects or water sources. Satiety increases the regen of action points. When you are thirsty, action points are restored more slowly or not at all. Alcohol does not quench thirst.

Get a good night's sleep, or eventually you'll start to feel tired. Sprint and combat greatly increase the amount of fatigue. Sleep 8 hours a day and you'll be healthy. You'll get too tired, and you'll move slowly.

The advantages of the system:

This system does NOT use the effect of "food addiction" to make you eat, and so addictors do not remove it, and companions do not complain about it.

The system creates 3 new stats (Hunger, Thirst and Fatigue) that are tracked on your player and are modified in the same way as Health, AP or SPECIALS.

Food from other mods can work with the Hunger system without the need for patches. However, drinks from other mods will require patches.

Cannibalism, ponds and rivers, and sleeping out of bed all work.

Planned features:

An improved way to track status, as well as status messages.

Coffee Nuka Colas and Mojave Imports will give some bonus to fatigue.

May require balancing of food and beverage statuses.

More complete integration of alcohol into the system, can be an additional load.

Safe Uninstallation:

To safely delete a mod without changing your character's stats, follow these steps:

Sleep in bed for 24-48 hours. You must sleep long enough to reduce hunger and thirst.

Drink a few glasses of purified water until you are thirsty or satiated.

DO NOT use Nuka Colas to quench your thirst, as this will leave the Wired Up effect active. Sleep in Purified Water if necessary (player.additem 000366c0 5).

Make sure you don't have thirst penalties, hunger bonuses or a state of fatigue (other than well rested) when you're out of fashion.

Disable mods in Nexus Modes Manager, including all addons.
