About This Mod

Finally, in Fallout: New Vegas, a threshold damage system was implemented at the engine level. Given that many changes and modifications have been made to the internal version of F4NV and integrated with other F4NV systems, there is no time and interest in maintaining and modifying this smaller version of the larger system that will become part of F4NV when it comes out. If Fallout4 is updated, this mod will still be updated. This mode consists of two parts. The main file is the framework itself. It contains everything that a modder or user needs to add to their mod the functionality of the damage threshold system. The second part is an additional .esp for those who want to use the mod "out of the box". If used in conjunction with damageThresholdFramework.esm, the damage threshold system can be dynamically integrated into Fallout 4 and other modes. Dynamically" in this case means that the extra .esp should not change anything in the vanilla and should be compatible with everything. It does everything at runtime using a series of special expressions. It also has two options: one completely disables the calculation of damage resistance in the game, leaving only the damage thresholds. Another option is DR + DT. In this case, the damage threshold is an additional level of protection provided after calculating the damage resistance (this option should only be used by very hard-core players). You can enable/disable these options in the game console by typing 'player.setvalue _IsDRCalculationEnabled 1' or 'player.setvalue _IsDRCalculationEnabled 0'. The default value is 0. You can also set values manually from the .esp file.
