About This Mod

This mode changes the way the Night Eye effect is activated when the Night Person Rank 2 pepper is present. In the vanilla version, the Night's Eye is always active when sneaking between 6 pm and 6 am, ignoring all lighting conditions, regardless of how bright the area is. Thus, even in a well-lit area, the effect will remain active during sneaking, which causes the image to be overexposed in well-lit areas and makes it difficult to perceive objects in those overexposed lighted areas. This mod helps to fix it ... something. With this fashion, when you sneak in the dark at night, the night vision effect will be active, and when you sneak into a well-lit area that can be lit by a candle or any light bulb, the night vision effect will turn off, and then turn on again when you return to the darkened area. Turning on the Pipboy Lamp lamp will also turn off the night vision effect. This creates a pretty cool semi-adaptive eye effect that allows you to immerse yourself in the game. I also removed the radial blur effect, so there will no longer be a blurred vignette effect when activating Night Vision.

However, this mode does not prevent the overexposure effect when Night Vision is turned on, because it makes no changes to the Night Vision image space adapter settings other than the radial blur effect. (I might create an additional plugin in the future that changes the image space adapter settings for night vision.) Night vision is also prone to bugs, which is a bug in the game engine and will hopefully be fixed by Bethesda in one of the future patches. All other perch effects are unchanged and work the same way as in vanilla perch.

Night Person Rank 2 - Night Vision Tweak is designed for use with Darker Nights mod and works with all seven light level options. For the best use of this mode, I recommend using Darker Nights variants from the darkest (level 0) to the middle (level 3).

However, this mode can be used in vanilla lighting, but without the settings of dark light it gives a completely different effect. This effect is that the night vision effect is not activated in almost all places. This can be a good alternative to another of my fashion "Night Person Rank 2 - No Night Vision", which completely removes the effect from the pen, since the lighting in Vanilla is so bright in most places that the effect of night vision is quite useless and does nothing, except that everything looks worse and harder to see. With this fashion you can get a positive effect - the fashion can work in several places where the lighting can be dark enough to make the night vision effect really work... and was useful.

Conflicts

This mode does not conflict with the Darker Nights mode itself, but it can conflict with other mods that make changes to the Night Vision Rank 2 and Night Vision Image Space Adapter perk settings. Some of the mods I know that I have conflicts with include an additional plugin called Darker Nights Better Night Vision, Alternative Vision (from the same author as Darker Nights), and a tweet called "Night Vision Glasses and Night Man."

Conflict resolution:

If you are using an optional Darker Nights Better Night Vision or Alternative Vision plugin, put "BetterNightVision.esp" or "AltNightPerson.esp" after "NightPersonVisionTweak.esp".

If you are using night vision goggles and night person tweek, put "NightPersonVisionTweak.esp" after "NV_G&L_1.1.esp".

It is recommended that you use LOOT for the best resolution of conflicts. LOOT correctly sorts the Darker Nights and Alternative Vision plugins, but it doesn't sort the Night Vision Goggles plugin correctly. You'll have to add a Meta-rule to my plugin so that LOOT will sort my mod plugin correctly after the Night Vision Goggles plugin.

If you don't know how to create a meta-rule in LOOT, here's how you'll do it:

Start LOOT.

Locate the file "NightPersonVisionTweak.esp" in the left column and double-click it with the left mouse button. A window with the meta-rule editor "NightPersonVisionTweak.esp" opens in the right column.

Now click on "LOAD AFTER" in the window.

Now locate the file "NV_G&L_1.esp" in the left column. Click and drag it next to the + sign in the Filename and Display Name section. Now "NV_G&L_1.esp" should appear in the list with the bin icon to its right. If you accidentally dragged the wrong plugin, just click on the trash to remove the meta rule and try again.

Click the blue checkmark in the upper right corner of the field to save the meta-rule.

Click the Sort Plugins (Sort Plugins) button to sort the plugins with the new meta-rule applied. "NightPersonVisionTweak.esp" should be placed below "NV_G&L_1.esp".
