About This Mod

Would you like to see your Idiot Savant scale increase with your SPECIAL rather than decrease? This mod will do it. This mod comes in four variants.


Savant: Increases intelligence.

Street smarter: Increases the level of Perception.

Favorites: Increases the level of luck.

Smooth Operator: Increases your charisma level.


There are several other mods that do something similar, but mine is different in two ways:

1) i take into account scaling up to 20 in the relevant indicators. It's very difficult to go above that, but it's easy to go above 10, so I wanted to take that into account.

2) I fixed a problem with Idiot Savant rank 3 turning off other effects when it was active. This was annoying and led to the fact that the 3rd rank actually reduced the average increase in experience. Now the chance to get the bonus experience won't be turned off while you have tripled the experience of killing.


Personally, I recommend using a mod to remove the noise that the perch emits when triggered. Like this one or this one. But some people like that sound, so it's up to you.


Installation:

All three files are included in the download because they are small. Select the one you want and shove it in the Data folder (most likely C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Fallout 4\Data). Make sure that you have added the string bEnableFileSelection=1 in the My Games\Fallout 4\FalloutPrefs.ini file under Launcher. If you have a beta patch, you will also have to manually add this line to C:\Users\User Name\AppData\Local\Fallout4\plugins.txt and then install it as ReadOnly.


OPTION:

On request, all three plugins are also available in a level-free version.

If you don't want to reverse the progress of intelligence, but want to fix the situation where rank 3 disables rank 2, it's also available.
