About This Mod
Lasers Have No Recoil removes laser recoil for Laser Gun, Institute Laser, Laser Musket and Laser Gatling. Other aspects, such as the spread of the cone and the swinging of the sight, remain unchanged. Plasma weapons have a different type of recoil, less visible.
Laser and plasma weapons have the mechanics "Heat Sink". Because this weapon emits a huge amount of heat, some of that heat is transferred back to the holder. In small amounts it will not harm you, but after a continuous fire you will start to take heat damage. Instead of reducing recoil, the gyrostabilizer (renamed the tokamak containment lens) and pads (renamed to match their cooling levels) reduce heat transfer.
The same applies to other energy weapons, such as gamma guns. These weapons have no impact or physical effect on the objects. Non-conventional energy weapons do not have "heat sink" mechanics because they use other forms of energy.
However, enjoy, install in the usual way, etc. etc.
Questions:
- Should the Gamma Cannon have some reverse effect?
- Should an alien blaster inflict heat damage?
