About This Mod

Bot to clean up settlements - LONDON

Version 1.0

Description:

Bot-undertaker Mr. Tidy, who walks around the neighborhood, removing "remains" from a settlement in Fallout London.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Originally created in 2041 by General Atomics International ahead of the Great War, the Mister Helper Type-1b was conceived as an addition to the highly acclaimed 2037 Mister Handy Type-1. However, frequent returns to the factory for maintenance and/or replacement caused the Type-1b to be temporarily withdrawn from production.

A limited reappearance of the model occurred in 2042, when a rebranding of the Mister Rescue Type-1c disaster-relief device was carried out in response to the devastating 2042 Mexico City earthquake. The Mister Undertaker, an early prototype model, was quietly introduced some time later.

The Mister Rescue was a commercial success, and in 2045 was marketed to consumers as the Mister GroundsKeeper, and its sales were celebrated at golf courses, resorts, and kindergartens.

In 2055, the Mister Salvage & Reclamation (later renamed to Mister Salvage) was released. The Type-1d received modest revenue and orders for it came mostly from construction and landscape firms.

In the same year, Vault-Tec acquired exclusive rights to the Mister Tidy Type-1e (essentially a redesigned Mister Undertaker prototype), which was subsequently installed in numerous Vault-Tec plants and then distributed internationally through the franchise.

Key Features:

- Removing dead objects

- Additional combat mode

- Optional automatic scan

- Additional collection of stray weapons

- Not more than one per settlement

- Continues to operate while its cell is unloaded

- The found items are transferred to the chest at the station site

- Waits at the station pad when there is currently nothing that can be put in order

- Adjustment takes time in the wall clock and is independent of waiting, sleeping or moving quickly.

This mod allows the removal of corpses and other dead items from the settlement, entrusting this task to the robot Vault-Tec Mister Tidy. Just place the robot in the central zone, instruct it to start cleaning, wait a minute for it to "beep" (or make joyous noises if there’s nothing to clean), and then boldly return to your adventures.

Mr. Tidy can be directed to a site within a given settlement or a distance that may extend beyond it, always concentrating on the site of its station. At the end of the job, Mr. Cleaning returns to the station floor. There, he waits until he is ordered to resume work, or until he is removed to the workshop, or sent to scrap. Items recovered from the corpses are stored in a chest on the landing.

Unlike the original Mr Tidy for Fallout 4, this mod does not have an initial discovery quest.

NOTE: This is a mod for removing dead things, which also automatically collects items for you from these dead things. It's not just for looting. Therefore, players who don't want dead things removed (possibly due to the behavior of some other fashion) should simply not use Mr Tidy.

Another note: it's not "scrapping" fashion, so the things Mr. Tidy gets and puts in his chest are just items normally contained in corpses (and which you would see if you yourself looted their inventory). This means that skeletons don’t turn into bones, and corpses don’t turn into fertilizer - they just disappear.

AND ANOTHER NOTE: All that is identified as a quest item and/or not scrawled is always skipped by Mr. Tidiness.

LAST NOTICE: Create a saved game before tidying up a settlement - you can return to it if you encounter problems.

How to build:

Mr. Neatness is housed in a settlement, using WorkShop to build a station pad. The station site is located in the STRUCTURES>MISCELLANEOUS section of the WorkShop construction menu.

When you open a workshop to build something, you see that the user interface is located on a wooden building with the inscription "Buildings". Go up one row and then walk to the right along that row until you see "Structures>Miscellaneous"; in the base game, this is above the bloody pillar of the supermutant, but depending on the mods you have set, it may be different. Now go one row up. Everything you see in this row horizontally is a subcategory of "Structures>Miscellaneous". In this row will be the Mister Tidy, perhaps as the very first item.

It is best to place a station pad on the ground (not in a building or on a platform) in the central part of the settlement, so that Mr. Opryatny can easily reach places within the boundaries of the settlement. If it is located above the ground, be sure to build appropriate ramps and stairs, which can be easily left and returned to the site.

If you can't find the "Buildings>Miscellaneous" subcategory, then you've installed a mod that changes the basic building categories in the game. In this case, you will not be able to build a station pad, which means you will not be able to use this mod - if you are lucky, the conflicting mod can simply rearrange the elements, and the station pad will now be located not where it should have been, but in some other category or subcategory.

Mr. Tidy's status:

Mr. Tidy's station panel has color indicators that indicate the bot's current status:

Yellow - Mr. Tidy has not been activated yet. Interact with the station panel to start cleaning. The color indicators will turn blue.

Blue - Mr. Tidy is currently collecting cleaning information. The player must stay in the settlement while the indicators are blue. When the cleaning information is collected, the indicators will turn green if there are "leftovers" to be cleaned up, or white if there are no leftovers.

Green - Mr. Tidy is currently analyzing cleaning information or actively moving around the area to clean up. Mr. Tidy will sound when the LEDs turn green. Now the bot will be able to continue to restore order while the player is away from the settlement. The indicators will turn white when the cleaning is complete.

White is Mr. Tidy is currently idle waiting for the next cleaning cycle to begin. At this time, Mr. Neatness must be put into storage (or scrap) when his job is complete. Cleaning is resumed when interaction with the station panel occurs.

Cleaning:

Mr. Cleanup automatically removes the following "remains" (unless they are a quest item) and stores all found items they may have contained in the Station Chest:

- Corpses

- Dead things

- Skeletons

- Bone fragments

Each item is checked to see if it is on Mr. Tidy's list of items that can be scrapped. If not, it is ignored. An object is also ignored if it is a quest object (IsQuestItem function) or set as an object that should not be scrawled (UnscrappableObject keyword).

Commands:

Start/resume cleaning:

Scanning for cleaning supplies, processing found and returning to the station site. Applies only to the Mr Tidy robot. Note that a corpse is not processed if it is the target of a quest or is designated as undisclosed.

Change cleaning zone:

Select "Stay within the boundaries of the settlement" to process items only within the settlement (default setting), or "Clean everything within the scanning range", which ignores the boundaries of the settlement. Applies only to this Mr Tidy robot.

Set cleaning scan range:

Select the scanning range to use if the "Remove all within range" option is selected (see below). The default is Long Scan. Only used for this Mr Tidy robot.

Toggle auto-scan:

Provides periodic rescan for items to be removed (disabled by default). Applied to all Mr Tidy robots. Disabled by default.

Toggle live mode:

Provides its own accelerated auto-scan regardless of normal auto-scan settings. Applies to a specific Mr Tidy (not all). Disabled by default.

Toggle roving weapons collection:

Allows Mr. Tidy to collect weapons that have not been thrown away by the dying NPCs, are not in containers, and are not the purpose of the quest. Disabled by default. Applies only to this robot Mr Tidy (not all).

For details, see the different settings sections below.

Settlement boundaries and scanning range:

Mr Tidy can be configured to remove only what is within the boundaries of a settlement, and can be configured to ignore the boundaries of a settlement and remove what is no further than a certain distance from its station.

The scanning range for both "long range" and "within a settlement" is 10,000 units of the game world distance. Thus, the difference between these options is only whether specific remains will be treated (within the boundaries) or not (outside the boundaries) if Mr. Tidy's station is located in the central part of the settlement. Short range - 3 500 units. The average range is 6,000 units.

And, of course, the coverage will change when using mods that change the boundaries of settlements or add new settlements.

Recommended settings:

One-time cleaning or very rare cleaning in all settlements: Auto-scan disabled, Combat mode disabled

Periodic automatic cleaning in all settlements: Auto-scan enabled, Combat mode disabled

Frequent automatic cleaning in certain locations: Auto-Scan <any>, Combat mode enabled

Installation:

Install using the mod manager or decompress mod and copy the .ESL and .BA2 files to the \DATA game folder, then enable mod.

Arrange the .ESL file for this mode so that it is located as low in the boot order as possible. This will help Mr Tidy to work as best as possible, overlapping all conflicting modes. If you are absolutely sure that there are no conflicting mods, then you can place this mod anywhere the installer normally allows.

Requirements:

Expected Fallout 4 plus a "full conversion" of Fallout London. I strongly recommend that players install (or upgrade) Fallout London v1.01 or later to avoid various glitches that the update eliminates - especially fixing rail faults after the prolog is complete.

Compatibility limits:

They are not available at this time.

Known Issues:

- At times the game can be a bit strange, as a result of which the NPC can get confused (or even stuck) while traveling from one place to another. When this happens to Mr. Tidiness, he automatically takes a "quick trip" (teleports) back to his station pad. So if you're watching Mr. Tidiness, and he suddenly disappears, then he's back on his station pad and resuming his cleaning.

- As a matter of necessity, Mr. Cleanup uses a movement mechanism that is less reliable and more error prone than the one normally used by NPC and other robots. As a result, Mister Tidy may be more easily confused by obstacles, especially the fences and walls surrounding the settlement, which will prevent it from entering and exiting. Therefore, it is best to choose "open" settlements.

Known conflicts:

If you can't find the "Buildings>Miscellaneous" subcategory, then you've installed a mod that changes the basic building categories in the game. In this case, you will not be able to build the Station Pad, and therefore you will not be able to use this mod. If you're lucky, maybe the conflicting mod just rearranged the items, and now the station pad is not where it was supposed to be, but in a different category or subcategory.

Delete:

Delete the mod using the mod manager that was used for the initial installation, or delete the SettlementTidyBotLONDON files.
