I've always felt there's no point in using shields because they're different from evasion shields, have less stamina, and completely neutralize damage.
What this mode does to the shield:
-1.25x Protection Absorption (less endurance damage)
-1.2x Denied damage (except physical)
- 2x resistance to accumulation of covers
- Attack damage 0.5 times greater
