Ringed Knight's Spear
About This Mod
Replaces Messmer's spear model with DS3's Ring Knight's spear.
Very simple replacement of mesh and textures, without reg.bin or .dll.
Installation (ModEngine2)
Place the files in the fashion folder as follows:
mod > yourmod > parts > wp_a_0940.partsbnd.dcx
This file changes Messmer's spear model and texture.
Strangeness:
- Only your spear can be modified, the other spears of Messmer retain their appearance.
- Throwing attacks throw Messmer's spears instead of RKS. The same is true of AoW spears thrown from the ground.
If you encounter any complaints, suggestions or errors, please leave them to yourself.
It is a pure coincidence that everything works so far. I don't want to bang my head about it anymore.
How to make this mod:
- Unpack DS3 wp_a_0924 (RKS) into UXM and get RKS textures.
- Do the same with the spear of Messmer (wp_a_0940).
- Then open it using Yabber, locate the .tpf texture file inside, and reopen it using Yabber.
- Create a metal texture for RKS using paint.NET (as super contrast black and white from other textures).
- Rename all RKS textures and replace them with Messmer spear textures.
· Repack the textures.
Replace grids.
- Open wp_a_0924.flver in FLVER and export the model to .dae.
- Open wp_a_0940.flver in FLVER, import the model in .dae format, and delete the model 0940. Change and close. The network has now changed.
RKS will now be visible in the game, but partially obscured by the perspective, so use Smithbox.
- Open Smithbox, go to Models tab and download modified Flver wp_a_0940.flver.
- (I was upset and changed a lot. I don't know for sure, but I think I did the following)
- Click the Mesh tab, open Bounding Box, and replace the matrix numbers with Messmers Spear numbers.
