About This Mod

At Awakening, Anders started out with a "fox necklace" - a unique amulet he received in gratitude for saving Wang's life. This mod reproduces it in DA2 and makes it part of Anders' starting gear.


Because DA2 works with item scaling and DA2 accessories are balanced so that rarely increase stats by more than 2, if given the necklace exactly the same stats as Awakening, it will be too powerful as a starter gear. It would be too powerful. Instead, the pendant gains new stats while retaining bonuses to willpower and healing. It also improves as the level rises.


This mod is compatible with everything. However, if you have other mods installed that modify the gen00fl_anders.utc file, Anders will not be able to wear the pendant when you first receive it. You can put on the pendant by opening the console (there is a manual on the DA Wiki if you do not know how to do it) and typing 'runcript zz_give_fp' (without quotes). If another mod has changed gen00fl_anders.utc, you can remove gen00fl_anders.utc from that mod folder and use the console to get the necklace.


The above is also applicable if the mod is set on an existing preservation that is already in the first act of Darktown. This is because Anders' launch gear is set on the first boot, rather than when he sets off to find it. In this case, use the above script to give Anders the pendant. Fortunately, the necklace will automatically scale to your level, even if it was added by a script, so that the necklace will have the same level rise status as if you had it from the beginning.
