About This Mod

A collection of customizable female presets for character creators.

The second version of "Mop and Buckets" was released.

10 july 2021.

"What has changed?

1. the original collection of 8 presets has been expanded to 17.

  Added 9 new presets and improved many of the 8 presets.

2. presets no longer replace vanilla presets, but complement them.

  This means that the chargenmorphcfg.xml file must be merged/edited for them to appear in Character Builder.

3. 3. Added an additional file containing free .mop files (i.e. not packed in .erf).

  So if you were one of the few people who could decipher the Hawke family choice codes ("Preset + skin color = my choice.

  "Preset + skin color = hopefully it will work out"). - You can change the preset you choose by renaming the .mop you want.

4. 4. 4. 4. The original version was moved to "Old Files" and the images remained uploaded. If anyone needs it.

  Leave a comment.

'Please comment. How can I download this?

Main file.

1. 1. Download 'Female Presets V2'.erf and chargenmorphcfg.xml, unpack and drop them in the override folder.

2. 2. 2. Using TerraEx's Chargenmorph compiler, combine my chargenmorphcgf.xml file with your chargenmorphcgf.xml file;

  Or, edit the existing chargenmorphcfg.xml file yourself and add the following lines under <heads> <human_female>:

        <resource name="HF_CGN_nefertari.mop" />

        <resource name="HF_CGN_juliette.mop" />

        <resource name="HF_CGN_alannah.mop" />

        <resource name="HF_CGN_nora.mop" />

        <resource name="HF_CGN_reiko.mop" />

        <resource name="HF_CGN_epona.mop" />

        <resource name="HF_CGN_madeleine.mop" />

        <resource name="HF_CGN_sarita.mop" />

        <resource name="HF_CGN_katherine.mop" />

        <resource name="HF_CGN_marissa.mop" />

        <resource name="HF_CGN_zara.mop" />

        <resource name="HF_CGN_mindy.mop" />

        <resource name="HF_CGN_halima.mop" />

        <resource name="HF_CGN_lucinda.mop" />

        <resource name="HF_CGN_rebekah.mop" />

        <resource name="HF_CGN_xanthe.mop" />

        <resource name="HF_CGN_jiang.mop" />

Option files.

1. download the preset you like, unpack it and drop it in the override folder.

2. 2. Rename the vanilla presets.

  Vanilla in the order of appearance in the game: hf_iconicfemale_normark.mop, hf_iconicfemale.mop, HF_CGN_001.mop, HF_CGN_002.mop,

  HF_CGN_003.mop, HF_CGN_004.mop, HF_CGN_005.mop, HF_CGN_006.mop, HF_CGN_007.mop, HF_CGN_008.mop, HF_CGN_009.mop.

Example You want to use the Katherine preset and change the first preset after the cult Hawks (thin face blonde hair blue eyes) Advanced After opening the file take the preset hf_cgn_katherine.mop and place it in the folder override. Then change the name hf_cgn_katherine.mop to hf_cgn_001.mop. When you enter the game and start a new character, you should see the Katherine preset instead of the Blonde Vanilla.

As far as I know, the .mop file name and the chargenmorphcfg.xml file are case insensitive.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Welcome to Mop and Bucket.

First released 5 July 2021.

That's a strange name. What does this mod do?

This mod adds a collection of customizable female presets to the character's creator to replace vanilla presets.

"But what's the point? The game already has presets, and there are plenty of hair, skin and shade mods that Hawkes can customize."

My main goal was to bring structural diversity to the character creation process in the most accessible way possible." To do this, I overcame the structural limitations of the creators using Mephales's PYGFF editor and .mop modding tutorials provided by lastofthecouslands and sarchiapozzo, and created my own .mop files for others.

Why do you stress the word "structural"?

To answer this question, I need to explain a little bit about how face design works. Those who are not interested can, and perhaps should, miss it. In short, each race has two basic head models - male and female - and these basic models have a set of parameters that can be customized to create unique characters. Some features, such as the eyes, nose, and general facial shape, have predetermined shapes that can be modified to varying degrees. Other parameters can be moved back and forth, up and down smoothly, etc. However, not all of these options are represented by the corresponding sliders in the Character Designer. Even where there is a corresponding slider, the range of slider values is usually relatively narrow. Thus, the range of control over the facial structure in Character Creator is quite limited, at least compared to what game developers have. Fortunately, by editing the .mop file itself, you can access all the settings that are ignored. It's not very difficult, but it's incredibly tiring.

"Fascinating".

Exactly on target. In any case, in creating these presets, I focused on the structural parameters that are underrepresented in the character's creator, such as mouth width, nose width, chin height, and iris size, as well as the realization of unique NPC facial shapes (e.g., Cassandra, Leliana). The difference between my preset and the other presets is that by mixing and matching these parameters, I (hopefully) create a distinctive face design that is not found elsewhere in the game.

"What do I need to know before downloading?

Note that these presets are intended to be customized in Character Creator, not as game-ready characters. Therefore, all presets are bald and use vanilla textures and tones. This way you can choose your hair style, skin color and skin color (vanilla or trendy) according to your wishes. Of course, you can also change facial features and structure as much as the character creator allows.

Another point: most of my tests are static faces. This may not be compatible with animations such as speech or facial expressions, especially with respect to the teeth.

"No change seems necessary."

It's true. However, please note that the screenshots I posted were taken with skin and eye textures replaced.

How to install this mod?

Download, unzip, and drop the .erf file in Override: Documents>Bioware>Dragon Age 2>packages>core>override.

"Why did you make the preset as a backup, not as additional content?

Because in this case none of you will have to deal with the chargenmorph file." Please.

This fashion doesn't add cleaning equipment to the Amel Manor.

No, Sera, he doesn't.

It's disappointing. Where is it then?

I don't dare say that. I'm sorry, I'm sorry.
