About This Mod

This mod serves to create an economically independent city, functioning autonomously in terms of production and consumption of resources. The main method of achieving this goal is to change existing game parameters such as enterprise profitability, resource costs, basic consumption, and complexity of jobs. Fashion efficiency becomes more noticeable and useful as the city develops, especially with a population of over 100,000.


Version 0.5 introduces changes in commercial demand, giving more control over advertising in the city space. Tax sensitivity has been increased, allowing manual control of the process of selecting businesses to open in the city.


Version 0.4 includes new types of commercial enterprises and allows selective activation of key fashion functions: new parameters, consumption adjustment, new companies and changed commercial demand. The configuration and activation of the features is done through the BepInEx configuration file: RealEco.cfg.


It’s important to remember that tuning and balancing is an iterative process. Your feedback on the functioning of companies and the economy as a whole is very valuable and welcome. Please use the Support section below to contact me. It is recommended to disable other modes that affect the economy, resource management and operation of enterprises when installing a mod. Although the mode will technically work as stated, the results may be skewed, making further balancing difficult.


Main features:


- (v0.3) Ease of configuration via editing the configuration file in xml format.

- Increasing the productivity of mining enterprises, which allows large cities to be self-sufficient. Standard maps should have sufficient resources for cities with more than 300,000 inhabitants.

- Individual consumption does not experience sharp spikes in large cities. Details in the section "Consumption correction".

- Correcting and optimizing the cost and consumption of some resources for a more balanced and realistic economic model.

- Reduced profitability of enterprises, which slows their development and the growth of land values.

- Setting up multiple production chains to efficiently support the production of resources demanded in large volumes.

- Set up the number and distribution of jobs to match the available workforce.

- Setting the parameters of residential areas for optimal progress and leveling of rents.

- (v0.4) Added new commercial enterprises selling intangible resources.

- (v0.5) Revised commercial demand mechanism with dedicated interface.

- (v0.5) Adjustments for accommodation and entertainment providers should result in more such enterprises being established in the city.
