About This Mod

TL;DR. = With this mod, you will always get (one of) the best possible loot results you could get in an unmodified game, and will not be penalized for loot by a lower-level character

1) Removed all references to the "Empty" loot table that I could remove without removing things that are hard coded to be empty (by popular request, there is an addon to cancel it).

2) All lute rolls are maximized, so merchants, drops and containers will ALWAYS have the most items they could get in an unmodified game.

3) Most of the Loot level restrictions have been removed, so plate armor *must* be available from 1st level if you have gold (or luck) for it, but at the same time I have kept lower level items (which have been encoded so that they can be removed as your party level increases) still available to merchants so that you can access ALL possible items regardless of level. (By popular demand, there is an addon reversing this change.)

4) Where necessary; I kept low-level items on possible drop lists that might otherwise have completely disappeared from the game, just with less chance of falling out than higher-level items - but otherwise I kept the developers' standard idea of what might be on the loot list.

5) Crossed out the vast majority of unnecessary items (yes, including rotten food) that could take the place of a more valuable loot. The only exception to this rule is if there was a choice between an unnecessary item and NOTHING, then I left the unnecessary item. The same applies to any place in the code where, for example, a non-magical object can take the place of a magical or smaller magical object - the place of the larger.

6) Also fixed are a few bugs and typos that the game developers haven't found yet, including some *VERY* minor performance optimizations - they will save your computer only a few nanoseconds of processing time, but I can't help but fix them when I see them.

I haven't added any new items (at least not in the base versions), my goal, as always, is to make high/improbable shots by default so that you can always reproduce the results with enough saves in the unmodified game.

To install/uninstall the PAK version I recommend using a mod manager, for example, LaughingLeader's.

- Just always download BetterLoot BEFORE any other fashion, and BetterLoot100 download anywhere AFTER the main download!

To install the LOOSE FILE version, simply drop the PUBLIC folder into your game's Data folder to have the following file structure:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Baldurs Gate 3\Data\Public\Shared\Stats\Generated\TreasureTable.txt
