About This Mod

A save at the end of each turn is how the Crown of Madness and Man's Hold in BG3 work. Correcting this, we also set the spell's duration to 10 moves (instead of 3), although in practice most creatures will still be able to make a save during the first 3 moves (read: probability). Mod does not change Confusion or its effects/status (which we will discuss in detail below).

Relevant Tactical Information for Entertainment / How Confusion Works in BG3 :

This is how Confusion works, by default in BG3, even without fashion.

First, it doesn't affect the allies, which is nice. If unfriendly targets (red or yellow) are not in combat, Confusion status does not cause them to attack anything, and they may even start making saves every 6 seconds. You'll need to start a fight (sometimes a simple approach can do this) for Confusion to work properly.

The chance that a confused target will do nothing (Stupor) is 50%, and the chance that it will accidentally attack creatures within its reach (in the game files, Stupor is called "Confusion_Skip", while hostility [attacking someone] is called "Madness").

Confused targets when they are hostile will not necessarily attack the closest creature, but AI will instead consider everyone as an enemy and will use its own battle scheme. In short, if no one else is in combat, the odds are 50% that they will fight as normal.

This mode does not change any of the above.

Does this affect other Confusion cases and does it affect the player's characters?

Yes, your characters follow the same normal rules against the Confusion effects: you get a save when you get the Confusion effect; if you fail, you are affected in your turn as you should be; and you get another save at the end of this turn. Fair.

The Confusion status or effect is used by several NPC attacks, such as "The Shriek of Mind" from "The Nurses", Roland's "Spraying of Flowers", and "Ray of the Observer". They use the same Confusion code, and it works the same way. So your group and your enemies follow the same rules as it says.

Is it safe to delete or replace this mod?

Since this mod only configures two "statistics" files without changing any icons, items, etc., as far as I understand, it has no effect on your save files. Deleting this mod or replacing it with another Confusion mod should not affect your saved games.

Installation

This mod was made for patch 7 (with a toolkit) and will not work with patch 6.

( but i added an optional version that can work for patch 6 )
