About This Mod

Move the character directly using the WASD (or other) keys.

Character movement is tied to the same keys as camera movement

Switch between character movement and camera movement, by default with Caps Lock

Automatically toggles when fighting starts and ends

Improving the appearance of the mouse

Rotation hides the cursor and leaves it in place, disabling the interaction

Rotation key + left mouse click = forward

Resolve input conflicts when you bind Camera Rotate to the same key as Context Menu and Cancel Action. (Many people tie these three keys to right-clicking.)

Auto Forward, default with Shift+W

Switch between running and walking, default with Insert

Left click movement can be locked in configuration if desired

Supports Steam and GOG

Supports Vulkan and DX11

Supports multiplayer even if other players don't have it

Does not affect splitscreen, save and achieve

Does not affect controller mode except to force analog stick = Disabled (default in BG3).

Hotkeys and settings can be customized. Features may be disabled. Edit the BG3WASD.toml file using a text editor. Press F11 to hot load the configuration into the game.

Function List

Featured Fashions

Native Camera Tweaks: This mod is vital. It unlocks the tilt of the camera. The combination of these two mods is amazing!

Aether's Immersive UI: Automatically hides parts of the user interface. If this is the first time you're playing a game, I recommend using only a portion of the contextual action bar, because otherwise there will be hidden buttons that you don't even know exist. Personally, I like to include a mini-market and group display, because otherwise it can be a little disorienting.

Installation

Some important remarks:

If you are also using ScriptExtender mod: There is currently a compatibility issue between ScriptExtender and NativeModLoader which is causing the game to not run properly. The workaround is described in the FAQ and in the comments section.

I strongly recommend using Borderless Window mode. Full-screen mode does not display error messages and does not work well with multi-monitor settings.

After installing the mod, when the game is updated or you check the game's files, you may have to reinstall Native Mod Loader, because sometimes it overwrites. Then the mod will not load.

Larian Launcher will tell you about the data mismatch and the corrupted files. Ignore it. He just discovers fashion files.
