About This Mod

This mod officially supports the transition to the 20th level with expansion. Other mods that remove the level limit are likely to be suitable, but I haven't checked them.

To get the best impression of the tabletop monk in BG3, I strongly recommend you also use one of the mods 5e Monk Adjustments: Monk 5e Adjustments or 5eE Monk Rework.

At level 3, this mod adds RAW-rewit Flurry of Blows for the monk of Mercy. You get two options: one works like a base game and deals 2 quick hits on one target, the second allows you to move between hits and share them between targets (RAW). The Way of Mercy uses the Barrage of Blows for many of its abilities, so it has been an important addition to optimization.

Monks of the Way of Mercy

learn to manipulate the life force of others to help those in need. They are roving doctors to the poor and the offended. But they bring a quick end to those outside their care as an act of mercy.

Those who follow the Path of Mercy can be members of a religious order, serving the needy and making grim choices based on reality, not idealism. Some may be gentle-voiced healers beloved by their communities, while others may be masked bearers of eerie mercy.

Walkers usually wear deep-hooded clothing, and their faces are often masked as impersonal bearers of life and death.

Tools of Mercy

When you choose this tradition at 3rd level, you gain the skills of insight and medicine, and you gain proficiency with a herbal medicine kit.

IMPLEMENTATION: You gain knowledge in the field of insites and medicine.

Hands of healing

At 3rd level, your mystical touch can heal the wounds. As an action, you can spend 1 point to touch the creature and restore the amount of health points equal to throwing your martial arts die + your Wisdom modifier.

When you use the Barrage of Blows, you can replace one of the blows without a weapon with the use of this feature, without spending a single point ki on treatment.

IMPLEMENTATION: Rules as written.

Hands Of Harm

At 3rd level, you use your ki to inflict wounds. When you hit a creature with a weapon-free strike, you can spend 1 point to deal additional necrotic damage equal to one roll of your martial arts die + your wisdom modifier. You can only use this feature once per turn.

IMPLEMENTATION: Rules as written.

Touch

physicianStarting at 6th level, you can apply even greater healing with a single touch, and if you feel the need for it, you can use your knowledge to cause harm.

When you use Healing Hands on a creature, you can also end one of the following conditions that affect the creature: blinding, stunning, paralyzing, poisoning or stunning.

When you apply Hands of Harm to a creature, you may expose that creature to a poisoning state until the end of your next turn.

IMPLEMENTATION: The rules as they are written, except when you decide to remove a disease, you delete all diseases instead. Hands of Harm will poison if you have the switch turned on.

A flurry of healing and harm

Starting at level 11, you can now apply a flurry of comfort and pain. When you use the "Barrage of Blows", you can now replace each of the blows without a weapon with the use of "Healing Hands" without spending on healing ki points.

Additionally, when you strike unarmed with a Barrage of Blows, you can use the Hand of Harm with that bump without spending a point on the Hands of Harm. You can still use Hands of Harm only once per turn.

IMPLEMENTATION: Rules as written.

The Duty of Absolute Mercy

By 17th level your mastery of life energy opens the door to absolute mercy. As an action, you can touch a creature's corpse that has died within the last 24 hours, and spend 5 ki points. The creature then returns to life, restoring 4d10 Health Points + your Wisdom modifier. If the creature dies under any of the following conditions, it comes alive with their removal: blinded, deaf, paralyzed, poisoned, and stunned.

Once you use this feature, you won't be able to use it again until you've finished your long vacation.

IMPLEMENTATION: Works as intended with no time limit of 24 hours.
