BetterFog is a mod pack for Lethal Company. If you've played this game, you know how harmful the foggy weather can be, and how unplayable it can be in the months outside of the Experiment and Titan. The BetterFog mod solves this problem by creating a list of mist presets with adjustable intensity, color, and lighting settings. It solves this problem by creating a list of mist presets with adjustable density, color, and lighting parameters. This allows you to create almost a thousand variants of custom fog presets. In addition, the Pause menu provides a graphical user interface (GUI) that allows you to edit presets directly in the game. Client side.


The No Fog feature really eliminates all the fog. Unlike many other modes, this mode also removes fog from clouds and burst pipes when activated!


How to use

To manually configure the mod, place BetterFog.dll in 'Program Files (x86)/Steam/steamapps/common/Lethal Company/BepInEx/plugins/BetterFog.dll'. The fogsettingsgui file must also be included in 'Program Files (x86)/Steam/steamapps/common/Lethal Company/BepInEx/plugins/Assets/FogAssetBundnle/fogsettingsgui'. It must be included.

Presets are managed in a configuration file. You can add as many presets as you like, as long as there's at least one. The settings allow fine adjustment of the density and color of the fog.

The 'n' shortcut key is used to switch between presets during gameplay; there must also be a button on the LeftStickPress controller, but this has not yet been verified. The key mapping can be specified in the configuration file!

Presets can be changed directly in the lobby by opening the Pause menu and accessing the GUI. You need to change the preset in the configuration file.

What is the Weather Scale?

Weather Scale" is an option that, when adjusted properly, multiplies the fog density value by another value depending on the month and weather type. For example, for Rend, where there is no weather, but there is fog, the multiplier will be 0.3, and for Offence, where there is no fog, the multiplier will be 0.9. The higher the value, the greater the space between the particles of fog and the thicker the fog. You can change these values in the configuration file. If Weather Scaling is disabled, the fog will be static according to the preset.


The 'Weather Scaling Enabled by Default' option in the configuration file is a convenient way to enable Weather Scaling at the beginning of the game. If this option is disabled, Weather Scale is disabled by default and must be enabled via GUI or hotkey.
